Do not know what's wrong with me lately... I was so gung ho about getting xmas projects done, and then for some reason I just haven't been interested in embroidering or sewing lately... Need a bomb under my butt I guess. does anyone else have this problem every once in a while

So happy to hear I am not the only one! It seems that I can only get going if I have a time issue, I think when Thanksgiving gets here I will be in a mad dash to get some things done but for now, did my towels for Zina and that was it. Today I have a friend coming to help me clean so I won't have to do much after my surgery on Friday.

I think that these symptoms are an ongoing thing with us all. I know for myself I have to be really in the mood for sewing. I am sure that you will soon be in the mood again. Sarah.

Maybe thinking about the Secret Santa exchange if you've joined it, might get your creative juices flowing. Even though you might need to wait a little before knowing what colours they prefer if there are any favourites. Best of luck with getting 'the buzz' back!

I think we are all joining a growing club of apathy!! I have not switched on my sewing/embroidery/serger machines for a week now, I simply just have no enthusiasm at all. Perhaps a bomb under my butt would be a good idea too :)

Yes I can relate to it. I have a lot of stuff that needs to be finished by next week and it is as if my heart is not there so I are not doing what I should be.

Yup...for me...time is elusive...It just seems to fade away...every day...by the time I get the urge..the day is gone and with it the light...so to my sewing machines I say another "goodnight," and make a promise to begin anew tomorrow...and then..when tomorrow dawns..well..It is just de ja vu! I got Xmas designs in July and sewed quite a few things for the holidays. I hit a snag in tryig to
find the right wrapping to make a nice presentation.
I just need to get back with the program. Good luck
all. Maureen

After reading all thse answers I am very pleased to be able to say 'at least I am not the only one'. There just does not seem to be enough hours in the day. We grow sugarcane and have a mulch business selling sugarcane mulch. I look after the bookwork and drive the tractor sometimes. (Thats my excuse. I spend a lot of time just looking on the computer and not doing anything on the machine. OK Marg, bend over, big kick in the butt, get to work!!!!!!!!!. LOL. Marg

Find any type of fiber arts show to go to. It will get you out of the house and start being inspired by what others are doing. I can almost guarantee that it will give you the boost that you are looking for. You might even meet a few people who are a joy to visit with. This is the time of year that the shows are going strong. Maybe there is someone in Cute that you could arrange to meet at one of these shows too.... Never underestimate the power of inspiration!!

I've done too much digitising and not enough embroidering or sewing. I have a list of projects waiting to be realised.

Absolutely!! I find I spend most of my free time on Cuties site and also unzipping and filing my designs...sometimes this is less stressful than trying to find the best design for a project. I do much more sewing than embroidery!

We could be twins with that comment. I also find if I take a little break, the "embroidery bug" gets back to me.

I have been so off sewing and embroidering sometimes, and all it takes is a few days of getting out of the house, visit a good friend, and then sort through your embroidery mags. You will be surprized how quickly the bug bites again. Good luck!! (Maybe you are just a little tired?) Have a loveday "loafing around"> Bake some biscuits and cookies for Christmas LOL Love and huggies ***

I have lots of ideas and can't wait to get started but my
machine is being a real pain in the butt today. Sometimes when you get in a rut you best walk away and do something else. The embroidery bug will come back and bit you. I can seldom goes more than 2-3 days without embroidery something, maybe take the time to look through and sort files. Seeing all your designs may give you the motivation to start something up.
Good Luck and don't worry, it will come back
Hugs
Michelle
