Question what does she need? reading it seems all she needs is a CompactFlash PCMCIA Adapter a cf card and a reader for the computer. Please let me know if I am right so I can help her. Thanks all

That is all you need. I teach Janome Classes in my area and have run into several people who have inherited this wonderful but old machine.
I found the CF card and the PCMCMIA adapter and the slot reader for the computer all on Amazon and all 3 for under 25.00. Now she will need some kind of software for her computer to read the designs and write them in JEF or SEW format (depending on how old her machine is) but the free Wilcom truesiizer will work. I am sorry I do not have the link for that .

No thank you so much I have been reading so much stuff and it just seemed like they try to make you buy this special reader for it and I just couldn't find anything that said you really had to. I know the wilcom site so I will be able to do that part for her
Again thank you
