I installed wilcom truesizer, had one look, I only wanted to change pes designs to jef, couldn't see how, thought I'll never use this so I've just uninstalled it! I love making things and can't use the computer properly and certainly can't digitize so I'm better using the cuties' patterns but not all are available in jef. That's why I tried wilcom but if anyone knows a straight forward way to change formats I'd like to know.Jan

Hi Janet, up on the right hand side of this page is a SEARCH box - type in How to Use Wilcom and a lot of pages will come up. I've included one here for you. Martin has shown a picture of how to change the designs. Love Chris

I see you have an answer, but this shows it for you.

I'm happy to hear that you got it figured out. I had lots of designs that I couldn't use because I didn't have the right file type. So I finally downloaded Wilcom and muddled through till I figured it out. Very liberating isn't it?? Now you can change the size of files too, so if they don't fit, you can fix that!! Enjoy!!!!

that's something else to try. I've got the giga hoop but would like to use it for larger designs without having to do it in two halves. Jan

Success!! Did as I said to Christine. Wrote it all down, husband along side, reinstalled, followed the instructions making more notes and changed 4 designs to jef. So now I'll have to download even more patterns from cuties that I couldn't use before! Thanks for the help and encouragement folks. Jan

If ou can uninistall you can chance formats. Here's how. 1) open file (icon on far left), use arrow in file extesion to select its current format. Now that you see the file, use Save as in the file menu and select the format you wish to have(it wants to save emb) change name if you want and save. hoop information does come up if you select pes (dont know about others). Hope this helps PM me if you have any questions or I can be further assistance. christine Live Laugh Download Stitch!

Thanks for your help. I clicked on something top left and samples came up. I clicked on one and a stitch diag. appeared and I was lost. I clicked on help and asked how to change pes to jef and no topic was the reply. I saw emb mentioned and was just confused. I need written instructions so I will reinstall truesizer, write your instructions on a piece of paper! and try again. Wish me luck. Jan

You can download a free trial of Buzz Tools for 21 days and convert all of your collection in one step.
I ended up purchasing the program for $99 and it has been invaluable because I have 2 machines with 2 different formats. I just changed every pattern to both formats and saved seperately. Now I download into 1 folder, save into a 2nd folder. Reformat 1st folder, deleting the original and save. Then I do the same for the 2nd folder. Hope that helps. I do think wilcom does reformat, maybe you didn't investigate enough??? Linda
