Hi everyone... I will be missing for a few. I am having surgery on my foot tomorrow. I tore the ligament off the bottom of the foot that attaches to the toes. Ouch! I am sure my pal Karen (02Kar) will give you an update. Please keep me in your thoughts tomorrow morning early. Thanks! Suzanne

OUCH! My heart goes out to you - I mangled my Achilles tendon on my right foot 6 years ago come December - and it took ages to heal. I pray for a great surgery and an even quicker restoration back to normal health. Love Chris

I am sure sympathetic with you. My daughter broke four bones in her foot and had to have her ligaments fixed. She had one screw put in the big toe metatarsal bone and two wires coming out the bottom of her foot on the second and third toes which should come out next week hopefully and the fourth bone was a clean break. Because the ligaments were damaged there is no control over her foot and it just dangles. This happened on August 10 or 11th and with the surgery has already been two months and she still can't bear weight until the wires come out and then it will be another six weeks or so before she can walk. Hope your ordeal doesn't take as long to heel. My best to you for a successful surgery and full recovery.

I too am looking at a long recovery. They have to screw the ligament back onto the toe and I will also have wires. THe joint will be fused and the toes next to them are also being looked at. I know how your daughter feels. I wish her the best too. Thank you so much for your good thoughts. Suzanne

Hope you don't have stair steps in your home. For a couple weeks she slept with me and my DH slept upstairs in our sons room. She now goes up to bed by way of her bottom and lifts up with her arms each step. She tried two steps with the crutches and quickly sat down. lol

I have stairs too so I will be doing the bottoms up and down too. Suzanne
