Yes I realize that I made the quilt in 2006 but they have changed the mattress on their bed and I needed to extend the sides - there is another posting further down that explained !!!

Beautiful quilt sqdancer. How big are the embroidered blocks and is the candlewicking difficult? I am about to begin a queen bed quilt for a wedding gift which I am attending in the UK in August, I live in Australia. I had better get a move on otherwise they may end up with embroidered towels.

sqdancer by sqdancer 02 May 2008

Thank you gerry...My daughter chose the colours she wanted...the first one I made in this design was in pale peach shades for a raffle for our square dance convention in 2006 and my daughter liked it so much she asked me to forget about birthdays and christmas and just make her the quilt, she didn't care how long it took...so I wasn't pressured or on a deadline...

shirlener88 by shirlener88 02 May 2008

When do we get to see the peach quilt?

Beautiful - I love to sew but have never made a quilt. It looks like it is hard to do. Getting everything all lined up and straight. Great Job. Sue

sqdancer by sqdancer 02 May 2008

Not really hard sue actually the on point is probably easier that the straight across would be...

Certainly isn't as difficult as some of the pieced quilts, all the designs are embroidered, but it was still a challenge...Give it a try elenu...

I have a lot of learning to do yet Sqdancer, but I will try . . one day.
