Hi, Can anyone please help me as I am struggling to open a rar. format. I've got wilcom but it does not open rar. formats.Were can I find a program that can open that format and change it into pes

I use 7-zip, with no problem at all.

Hi, rar is a zip or (file compression)file; You can use the latest version of WINZIP to "unpack" rar files. If you don't have it, you can get an evaluation copy by going to
http://www.winzip.com/prod_down.h...
And clicking on the download button next to Winzip (not Winzip for Mac unless you are using an Apple computer system)
WHen you have downloaded it, click run and install the program, following the on screen instructions (it is safe - no viruses).
When it gets to the part where it asks for the registration code just click on evaluation copy (unless you decide its a great program and want to buy it) and continue to finishing the installation.
(There is also a seemingly straight-out "free" version available but it comes with strings attached that require you to sign up for other things that are not exactly free before it will let you have that - in my opinion not worth the hassle, though it might suit some people who have a use for the other things).

I like this program because Winzip comes with a great "help" section and also has online support so it is a program that you can learn to use both to unzip and extract files that you download as well as to zip files so you can send the easily to others, or simply store them more compactly, by following all the help instructions etc.
Once you have WINZIP, you can use it to "extract" all the files that have been batched into the rar file. If there is not a file in PES format amongst the ones that you extract, then there should be one amongst them that you can use software such as Wilcom, Embird, or Buzz to convert to PES format.

Win rar is an unzipping program the same as win zip. easy to use. Go to Winrar.com

Hi You will need to have WinRar to unzip the file. You can download it for free from

Glad to see that I am not the only person strugling with this rar formats. I have tried a zip program once but no luck! If you get a solution I will be very grateful as well.
