Question: Did any of u use hot iron rhinestones before? If you did, how did you clean the mess off the fabric when the hot rhinestone glue dropped to wrong spot? Thanks.

That is option. I would try the cleaning method first.

Back again. I also found this on the web. Before trying a liquid this might be worth a try: How to remove hot glue from clothing
Patty asks:
How do I remove hot glue from a piece of vintage clothing?

The first thing I would do is put the piece of clothing in the freezer. I have found, from living in Alaska, that hot glue pops off of items when it freezes. So if there is a lump of glue that might remove it. If there seems to be glue in the fibers try to heat it to remove it. Take a piece of clean cotton and place the glue spot face down on it. Press a hot iron on the area (make sure the clothing is safe to iron at a high heat), pressing for 10-20 seconds. Peel it away from the cotton. Move the cotton over to a clean spot. Repeat until the glue has been absorbed into the cotton.

I will definitely try this method first. If this one does not work, I use toluene will remove hot glue in the fabric. The second one need to run to hardware store first. Thank you for sharring.

I don't know what kind of fabric you are working with so I Googled "removing glue from fabric". Several came up. Here is one: http://home.howstuffworks.com/how...

ssarner, I have never had that trouble - but I bet you have a mess - did you try to use your iron - then wipe it really fast? I think you would need something that would be for removing glue of some sort. Sorry for your trouble. *4U

I was putting on the rhinestones on a tailor made prom dress, one rhinestone dropped off. I immediately tried to wipe it off, but there is still a mark.
