and the needle breaks. Last time I had to replace the foot and part of the needle was missing. Luckily tonight I only had to replace the needle even the scissors is still fine. Thought I learned my lesson the last time but impatience caught up with me again.

Ok I heed your warning. For at least 24 hours I will stop the machine prior to cutting the starter thread. I like digitizers that do their reinforments stitches and then move back or to the left so that I can trim that pesky thread without stopping the machine or G-forbid raise the pressor foot!

You are probably right about when to quit for the day. I'd say take a deep breath, turn off the lights, and figure it out in the morning. I never do well if I'm in a hurry.

been there and done that have not broken a needle yet but i will heed all the advice...........thanks .yes it only takes another second to stop the machine and snip the thread.....thanks again everyone...soozie
