The good news is they didn't take my laptop which is hook up to my embroidery machines nor my Mother's wedding rings which were hidden. All I loss was some gold hoop earrings. They did take my husband old laptop he use. He loss alot of pictures that were on it. And his x-box and remote. The good news is you would need to have a password to get into it and the x-box won't work without it's password. Everything else that was more valuable in the house they didn't even touch. they came thru a open window that faced out on a large high grass field. But now my neighbors are on alert as well. But from now on everything will get lock up before I go to work. I know it could have been worse and I have said a prayer of thanks. But boy oh boy which we think it was kids anyway are going to be in for surprise when they try to use the things that they took. I just hope it don't happen to anyone else.

I know how you must feel, We were robbed more than 4 times in a period of 5 years, We always though it was our front neighbord's son he was a teenager and his freind did not look all right, beside it always happened when my next neighbord was out, I lived in a corner house, the police told us the best guard is a dog, so we got a big dog and a medium dog,a chow chow, i do not know if it waa just a coincidence the front neighbor move out and or the dogs, but the robb stopped. They only robb material things but is the fact that stranger went to your house and look into your things is not good. God bless you.

Prayers for you - it's not the loss it's the violation of your private space that I found most hard to take. We were in the states for my son's wedding when they broke into my home. While they took a lot of gold charms(bought for my quilts and you cannot get them anymore)it was the fact that I had unwanted "guests" that was most upsetting.

I'm sorry this happened to you. We were robbed a year ago while on vacation. Took all my good jewlery, and a hand gun. Of course when the police relized a gun had been taken they got right on it, but still haven't found the person or persons that did it. They helped themselve to serveral different houses. It just makes you feel uneasy about who might be out there trying it again. We ended up putting an alarm system in after the fact. I'm glad yours wasn't any worse than it was and nobody got hurt. Hugs, Judy

I know they won't find whom did this. And after calling my landlord about wavering the $300.00 fee to have a a dog(only wants me to have a small dog. When I am a big dog person) They won't waver the fee. I told them when my least come renew next year, I will be looking for some where else to live. I know there are other places with lower pet deposits. Their loss. I am tire, mad and hope that whom ever did this to us, get their just reward. And yes I do watch everyone whom passes by my house and I just know that will go on for a long while.
Thanks

So sorry this happened, and I know how you feel! Several years ago, items kept disappearing from our shop, where
heavy construction tools and yard equipment was stored. We finally learned it was three guys who were supporting
a drug addiction by burglarizing and selling what they stole. For the longest time, I never felt safe and feared I would come home to find them inside my house. The feeling of such invasion is awful, and really never goes away completely. Glad very little was taken from you. Seems likely persons who knew you, did it, if your home was not a total destruction inside due to the ramsacking. Those determined to steal can find a way in, even if a place is locked up tight.

They didn't know me as to be being new to this state. And because I and my neighbors work and sleep odd hours they probably just saw a open window and went for it. Thank goodness they didn't trash my house. I am sorry about what happen to you. I hope they were caught. We do live across the way from a bad neighbor hood. But in telling my neighbors about it we plan to keep even a better watch on each other's house. I am the type of person whom gets mad and fight back if have too. So I can feel secure again. I am also going to call my landlord about wavering the expensive fee in getting a dog. Then that stupid person can try my house again and be surprise. Thanks

Sorry to hear about the loss of your belongings and more so the loss of your privacy. It is terrible when it is invaded in such criminal nature.

Thanks, it took me a long time to get to sleep last night because of it. I went so far as secure all of my bottom windows so they won't open unless my husband or I do it. And it is going to take awhile before I feel better about it.

I am glad you didn't loose too much. The sense of violation has to be great when thinking that a stranger rummaged through your drawers.

The few things that they did take was old, thank goodness and can be replace. Things my husband and I don't feel to bad about. The stupid kid or kids whom did this had to come across a large field that had snakes or what ever in it to get to our house. I am one of the nicest people you ever would me but after this. I hope they get what they deserve. Thanks.

I am all right just mad and tired about what happen. I have learned the hard way, back up, back up any files that you don't want to lose. No matter how long it takes. My embroidery files that I create are back up monthly. If I lose any I can all ways go back and recreate them. I just hope they get what is coming to them. I don't like people whom lie, steal or cheat. Have had it happen to me a few times. Thanks

You just feel so violated when others goes through your things. Backing up your files in a couple ways is a good idea. I do the external hard drive plus CD's/DVD's and have a few items saved on-line and should do more. My kids tell me they can get access to what is on a password protected devise. If you had any banking/credit card information stored on your computer you might want to notify those places and get issued new accounts and the old ones closed. Sorry you are having to go through this ordeal.

The funny thing is I back up my files every week. Even have told my husband to do the same but he didn't. Most of the pictures that were loss were his. if anything I am mad at myself for not locking that one window. But I have learn the hard way. This old girl knows better the next time. I also warn my neighbors so they wouldn't have it happen to them.
Thanks

So sorry to hear this - it is so awful to have the interruption in your life and to loose those precious pictures and laptop, x-box and remote.

You do have the right idea - lock it up, always.

It was a interuption. But those two items can be replace. Maybe even a new laptop for him with windows seven. And all we use the x-box for was to watch netflixs. I can watch those shows on my computers. But you are right I am going to lock everything up nice and tight.
Thanks
