Who can recommend free software which will convert an art file to hus or other file type?

It's a good software also for stamping templates.

I just had a go with PULSE AMBASSADOR and I had no problems. I downloaded it as an .ART file and then used PULSE to change it to a Viking Husqvarna (*.HUS) Love Chris

Yes Marie, it's good isn't it? I also have WinRar which is also exceptional and Wilcom Truesizer. So with all of these I'm never short of a design! Love Chris

Bernina Artlink, Wilcom Truesizer & Pulse Ambassador are all free and will convert ART to HUS.

I have Wilcome and I am sure it will convert ART. Not at home to try it. Good luck.

My Wilcom TrueSizer V1.5a converts from ART to other formats. There's a newer version available, as I just noticed from the Web site. I haven't upgraded yet so I don't know if Bernina requested that they remove this ability.

I have the Husqvarna 3D program and free Pulse Ambassador which will do most things but the 3D won't accept ART formats in the first place for Pulse to work on.
I can download the ART files but then can't do anything with them. That means that I've never been able to make use of any ART files.

3d won't "view" .art files, so you can't see them! The wilcom program (free) will view them 1 at a time, and convert to any format you need. Linda

I forgot! Buzz tools will convert everything in a folder or zip to any format you like as well, and you don't have to do them 1 design at a time. So if you download a whole series of designs in .art, buzztools will make them all .hus! They have a free trial for 21 days, then it is under $100. Linda

.art files are Bernina files, as you probably know. Currently, I'm unaware of any free software for converting from .art to other file formats like .hus The only software available for converting and editing native .art files (that I'm aware of) is Bernina's propriety software.

This is incorrect, ART can be converted to other formats...you must use Bernina Software to convert other format to ART though. Wilcom Professionial Software will also covert other formats to ART.
