Are you trying to digitize or just convert files? Wilcom, Pulse Ambassador are free conversion programs. Stitch era universal is a free digitizing program. You can download these from the internet directly to your notebook, then run the files to install.
I d/l Wilcom with no trouble but had a problem d/l Tajima which I am more familiar with. I will try again.
Thanks for your help
Madeline
I use the Tajima or PES designs. I'm not really sure what you mean by "Tajima software". Perhaps you bought a notebook that is Windows 7 when your old machine software was from something like XP or an older version? Unfortunately, software isn't always backwards compatible. If you are trying to download old software on a new operating system, you may need to get some sort of "fix" to help it run in 64 bit mode. You will probably want to contact your machine manufacturer or dealer about that, since they are the ones who would create the software. I hope I answered your question.
Yes my notebook is Windows 7 and my desktop Windows less.
thanks for helping.

Looks like they are referring to Pulse Ambassador, also a free conversion program.
