THANK YOU to all the digitisers who give of their time to donate free designs to those of us who cannot do our own. I 'tried' digitising with a free programme and have a whole new respect for you!

I totally agree, which free program did you get? I wanted to give it a go too before buying one...

A big HUGG! to all the designers young and younger!

I totally agree! I am just learning to digitize and I am finding the program I have is limited, which makes digitizing a lot more work and only allows for filled designs, oh well. Once I get good at this I'll have to check out a more andvanced program so I can do Applique, FSL, and things like that. But I am having fun learning right now! :)

And a thank you from me too. I have digitising softwear and will happily admit that I have not got to grips with it. I am able to ptoduce the work I like doing with it but need to understand and keep going over lots more. One day...

i just don't have the basic computer knowledge that you younger girls have. I have wonderful software and have learned a lot , but I get lost really quickly in digitizing classes. If I had one on one instruction , I think I could learn. Maybe that is what you gals should offer to us slow learners. Kay

I'm not one of the younger girls - I'm pre-WW2. You don't need computer knowledge, just need to learn to use the 3 basic tools of a digitising program: outline, filling areas and satin stitch / columns. And start simple. Problem often is starting with something complicated and getting lost.

Mops thanks for this information, I will remember it

Thank you for the advise. I think I might have tried to bite off a lot more than I could chew and then I got all depressed and decided I was pretty dumb!!!

mops forgot one other thing...... A good program that allows you to do these things manually, lol!

I agree!!!! Thank you digitizers!!! I paid for wonderful software PE Design8 and still have much to learn on how to digitize. I have been collecting designs since March of 2010 and boy do I need to stop. I truely enjoy shopping for others designs. I never get off of Cute to learn my software. He He ~Carolyn~

You have to really want to learn, and as with anything else if you want to learn you will, but it takes time.
