I love all these suggestions - never thought of the Swifter one. I also use scraps to make small stuffed dolls/animals with the in the hoop designs. These make great stocking stuffers, toys for babies, and also toys for cats. I'll also second the applique. It adds such wonderful texture. Sometimes I'll put 2 layers of fleece to make the applique fluffier.
using your serger you can make some nice and quick blankets...****
If you have little pieces you can use them to stuff toys etc. Fully washable and safe.
I was given several large bags (garbage bag size) of small fleece triangles. I made several crazy quilts with them. Since they don't ravel, then they were easy to sew. But what comes to mind is APPLIQUE!! You can make lots of fuzzy applique with fleece. It all depends upon how large you pieces are. I had bags of pieces that were about 3" across. There are a lot of crazy quilted fleece quilt blankets out there, because I was giving them away left and right. They are certainly warm too.
I have lots of fleece scraps and there are some suggestions I never thought of so thanks for asking this.
And.....polar fleece makes the best dust cloths ever. I cut scraps to size and use them for my swifter or just hand dusting. They can be washed and used over and over.
Winter head bands, ear muffs or hats. Charity projects-lap robe for nursing home or veterans hospitals. did you know if you cut narrow strips(abuout 1/2 inch) and them stretch them out you will get a really curly strip that are cute used as trim on hats, around the collar or sleeves of one of your panchos.
I use leftover fleece scraps as the insides for rag-quilt blocks. They are warmer than batting and don't need much quilting (because they will stand up well to lots of washes).
Sew them together and put rw designs on them then to them into -----------,pot holers, baby quilts etc. carolyn
I'd join all the corners together and cut to a standard size say 6x6 and then make up a cot blanket, a small lap quilt and put machine embroidered designs on them. Also line them with an oven proof material and make pot holders, or mitts etc. etc. Love and blessings Chris
Coasters, mittens, piece them together to make a scarf. Have fun and be sure to tell us what you did do with the pieces.
I was thinking a patchwork pillow or something - I like the ITH softie idea, too.
How many of these could you make?
I use pieces as batting for place mats, potholders oven mitts, make fuzzy slipper socks, mittens, toques, scarves, dust cloths, rag quilts, gift bags and tiny treat babs
etc,,,,,,,,,,,,possibilities are endless
