Hi Cuties,i've come across acouple of sites that use "rar" file what is this? and how do you open and change format? to jef.I have Buzz explore but it dosen't reckonise this file thanks in advance

Just for the sake of curiosity, I looked at the 7-zip site. I think its worth mentioning that if you take a closer look at the download button, you'll see that it only accommodates up to Windows XP. If you've got a Windows7 operating system, it might not work properly. There might be a patch for the Windows7 somewhere, but I didn't look much further. I asked my in-house computer tech (my husband with 20 years of experience) and he said that 'WinRar' is the recommended program for Windows7. There is a free version of WinRar, but its probably just a demo version with an expiration date. Like most of the necessary Windows programs, the full version comes with a price tag... but I checked, and it isn't too bad.

Go here and download Free program called "7 Zip" - it will unzip rar and any zip files. I love it!

thanks for the link - I wondered the same thing

A rar-file is a compressed file, just like zip. You have to 'unrar' them and you'll find designs in several formats, keep the jef and delete the rest.

I know this sounds stupid but How do you unrar them?
