This was really neat to watch. Thanks so much for the link. I spent way too much time on there as there were a bunch of other videos I watched and didn't have time to finish so will have to go back.
Again - thanks.

Thank you so much for the link, I am going to an all day quilt group in the morning and the quilt I planned on putting together is not yet ready, I am putting a lot of designs on it so still stitching away, so instead I will make one of these!!!! I don't have a jelly roll but I do have lots of fabric and lots of time since it is all day LOL So will cut my own out and sew away.
post pics after :)

Yikes!!!! I saw your message at 9.05a.m...... it's now 10.36a.m.
Where did that time go????!!!!!
I've been in a wonderland of jellyrolls and desertrolls for 90 minutes.

Thank you for this grand link to the video. Now my morning's gone. I know, I know. It's all my fault for not being strong and resistant but who can resist watching quilts being run up like that and finding out how many table runners can emerge from one lone desertroll?

When I got all that material a few months ago there was a box of jelly rolls, each roll was all the same color and all the rolls where the same. I did not know what it was. I gave it to the lady who took the material for the dresses for overseas. She knew what it was and was excited to get it. She tried to explain to me what it was. The material was out of a knit material so I still would not have used it even if I'd have known, as I have a hard time not stretching knit material when using it for quilting.

Where do you buy jellyroll?

Usually quilt shops, Claude. You can also get them on line at places like fabric.com and connectingthreads.com, but I don't know how they would handle overseas shipping. You could also cut your own strips out of material you have, 2 1/2" across the 45" width of the fabric. Best of luck, hugs, Marji

That was quick. Serging should be even quicker. Wonder if there was a way to lay the strips out to know what the finished quilt would look like.

This quilt is quite the rage. I've made 2 of them. Another quick quilt is to use 25 ten-inch squares to make one large block from the five patch chain pattern. This gives you plenty of space for embroidery.
