Heard great things about Aurifil Mako 50 and DMC but more expensive so hopefully it will be okay. Any one using long creek

mills or connecting threads 50/3 cotton for fsl?

I would have thought the 50wt would be to thick for FSL since embroidery thread is 40wt. However I have tried serger thread with nice results. I too have a large collection of Connecting Threads 50wt cotton; I'll have to give it a try. So thanks for the question and thanks to Carol for the answer.

I have used the Connecting Threads Egyptian Cotton for some FSL angels and doilies. It worked really well, just need to clean the "fuzzies" that the cotton makes around the needle area. I use the Egyptian Cotton in quilting and have most colors so one day gave it a try on FSL and was happy with the results. I have a MC11000 SE and my machine likes it too. Carol
