With any scraps you have you could always make lavender bags - I am always looking for fine cotton to make them. Sarah.
Like the idea from Stork. How about the lace designs (teatime sunbonnets) from Julias Needle designs. I've done them in the past on chiffon and they came out fine.
Hi madrocki,
I am not sure if I got the term right, in german "Musselin" (and the dictionary says it is muslin in English) IS a cotton material, very fine and lightly woven.
I would try to embroider it with a very loose design like the examples in the links and try the "no stabilizer method" with it, as one would do with silk.
Time to experiment ;-))
Finally I want to end up with a summer scarf, very trendy among teens these days.
Or just end up in despair. My way. hehehe
Be sure & wash & dry it first. Muslin tends to really shrink! At least that's been my experience.
quilt in the hoop backings - works great. I have to cut mine.
I will keep it in mind but I am still learning how to do machine embroidery, my dream is to make a quilt or something along that line.
You could use it to line inside of handbags. Also use it to make a mock up pattern.
I would stitch out some embroidery designs and subcut the material into squares. Would make a wonderful table topper or wallhanging!
We use them a lot over here for Baby wraps! Good luck with it. Love and blessings Chris
lol I was thinking baby wraps too .. they're great for swaddling in summer. xXx
thanks, I make and embroider baby blankets from fleece so it will be a good addition to my stock.
