the net bags that you buy onions and other veggies in? I think it would work but don't want to have it fall apart the first time it's used. Thanks

Yes, when the idea first came up I did use it in a dish cloth and it works just fine.

I have made several scrubbies out of the bags that turkeys and hams come in. I have done a lot of experimenting before getting them to work. I finally came up with a method that works. I pinned the bag (two layers) to a towel and then covered the whole thing with water soluble stabilizer to keep the embroidery foot from snagging the threads. Then I did an all-over design, such as a quilting design. I kept rehooping and putting different designs across the towel until it was very securely fastened. Then, I cut out pieces for my scrubbies. How I did it was to use a sponge in between two layers of terry cloth, with the "scrubby" on one side. I used my serger for the seams, but then went over it with a zigzag stitch to make sure that all of the threads were well fastened. I know it sounds like a lot of work, but it gave me a chance to try out lots of different embroidery designs. My resulting scrubbies are my favorite dish washing tool now. I have washed them dozens of times and they hold together great. Good luck and have fun.
