This older home sure has turned into something very different! The way it is built. I am sure it has been a tremendous job for all of you. All that heavy stone to be refinished and moved in so many places would have been a job I could never have tackled. Maybe in my younger yrs before the arthritis crippled me but not now because I can no longer even do simple things.
It looks wonderful! I know with all of the work you have done on/in it that you are very proud that it has turned out so lovely! The landscape looking from your house looks like pictures from postcards. This would be what I would like to retire to and live out my old age in peace and serenity! This is an oustanding remodling job! Thanks for sharing with us. Linda

3th update : KITCHEN (in progress)

remember : before (pictures 1 to 4)

During (pictures 5 to 8): I think I try to place the furniture a dozen times before arriving at what I really liked :o)

Now, but there are some little things to finish (pictures 9 to 12). On the last picture, we see a white door: I break through the wall with a jackhammer to open an indoor access to the other house (will be for cottages within 2 years I hope)

FRONTAGE
________

recently, we took care of the front (well, this is a mason who did the work !)

remember before (1) and look now (2 to 4). But the work is far from over: the mason took away all the joints, sanded all the stones and now he has to repeat the new seals.
We also installed two roof windows (picture 5)

Your gardens are lovely, and I'm hoping to see photos when you add your chickens, rooster, ducks, goats and/or sheep. When I was a child, we had ducks, and grandmother had chickens and a rooster, which I fed when I visited her. Sheep are certainly lovely animals to look at, but I've never raised them. It is all so wonderful!

I'm so happy for you Sissi; I was raised in a historic home (by US standards) and love your beautiful farm. Will you raise crops, flowers, animals, fruit, or family? It does look like a storybook!
Congratulations!
Hugs,
Jacqueline

I am considering making a vegetable garden next year. I would also like to chickens and a rooster, some ducks and maybe a dwarf goat or a sheep ... to start :o)

Have any idea of the age of the farm house? The stone work looks to be in excellent condition. So glad your dream home is now a reality.
