Magnifique ta maison, bravo, je te souhaite d'y être très heureuse.
I vote we all go to Sissi's house next summer! Your house is magnificent, well done! Just you be careful with that jackhammer, ok? Hugs, Marji
You have really worked hard. I love your before, during, and after pictures. It is so exciting to see what you are doing. Thank you for sharing.
A lot of work turning it into the home of your dreams and it is beautiful! I so wish my husband was a little handy so he could fix up our little house.
Looks fabulous, Congrats on all you are doing. Looking at some to the pictures brought back a lot of memories of when my parents did a simalar thing to a house when I was a child. Hope you have a wonderful time in your new home.
Wow looks great i love old houses. Thanks for sharing.:}:}
This older home sure has turned into something very different! The way it is built. I am sure it has been a tremendous job for all of you. All that heavy stone to be refinished and moved in so many places would have been a job I could never have tackled. Maybe in my younger yrs before the arthritis crippled me but not now because I can no longer even do simple things.
It looks wonderful! I know with all of the work you have done on/in it that you are very proud that it has turned out so lovely! The landscape looking from your house looks like pictures from postcards. This would be what I would like to retire to and live out my old age in peace and serenity! This is an oustanding remodling job! Thanks for sharing with us. Linda
What you are doing is just wonderful! I don't know that I'd have the energy or know how to do it, but your new home is developing into something you must just love!
3th update : KITCHEN (in progress)
remember : before (pictures 1 to 4)
During (pictures 5 to 8): I think I try to place the furniture a dozen times before arriving at what I really liked :o)
Now, but there are some little things to finish (pictures 9 to 12). On the last picture, we see a white door: I break through the wall with a jackhammer to open an indoor access to the other house (will be for cottages within 2 years I hope)
Unfortunately, we were not able to keep the old cook: she was too damaged and warmed almost more ...
2nd Update : THE ENTRY
-------------------------
Remember before....there was not entry (pictures 1 to 3)
During (picture 4) and after (pictures 5,6,7)
Your results are impressive...I am in awe! Wow! It is looking fantastic!! You are doing great work!
Wow!!!!!! Amazing and fabulous. Your house is going to be your kingdom. You will be so proud when it is finished. Congratulations on living your dream. *****
Toooo amazing! I am sooo happy for you! I hope you had help fixing it up!
Fabulous...it gives me goosebumps to look at this lovely property! The time, work and money this must be taking is mind blowing!
UPDATE July 29 :

FRONTAGE
________
recently, we took care of the front (well, this is a mason who did the work !)
remember before (1) and look now (2 to 4). But the work is far from over: the mason took away all the joints, sanded all the stones and now he has to repeat the new seals.
We also installed two roof windows (picture 5)
Oh Sissi this is a lot of work but it starts now to look like a little chateau :o) Absolutely stunning and I lve the blue color you used for the shutters. Interesting to see the progress in all the pics in this post ;-)
Greetings, Bettina
Such a beautiful home. I love your furniture. Thank you for sharing. Sarah.
WOW! Looks like one of the DIY TV shows! Fantastic! Thanks for sharing!
Your progress is wonderful, Sissi; I know it must be exhausting to be working on the house 9 hours a day, but you will be so happy with the results. I'm proud of you and of the work that you have done. Congratulations on all of it. It's a lovely place, and I'm sure that you'll love living there for years and years to come.
Love and hugs,
Jacqueline
It is looking great I bet you are having fun I am jelous but I am so happy for you I know you will have what you want when you get it finished Mt mother cooked on a stove just like that when I was really young loved that stove it kept the kitchen worm and heat filtered through the house was nicew.
Lenamae
looking good , so when will you be ready for a cutie summit :)
this house will become your dreamcastle. A lot of work but , worth all the hard work! it was lovely already but it's going to become beautiful!
Precision : I have been working since mid-September 6/7 days, 8 or 9 hours per day.... I'm tired but pleased with the progress of work :o)
we decided to remove the old bathroom to turn it into office and use a bedroom for the new bathroom.
we also try to recycle as much furniture !
(soon be over i hope)
the living room before and now with a door leading to the new toilet and utility room
Wow!! I take it that the last photo is the other side looking back into the kitchen. I admire your huge undertaking to renovate this old farm house. Do you plan to use antique sinks, etc. or will it be a modern kitchen?
Looks liek you are very busy. If I look correctly the houses have been made into 2 at some point and now you have found the doorway that joins them up?
A part of Back kitchen :
After and now (the toilets are nearing completion, the laundry will come later). on the last photo, one part of the stones that were taken out of the ground
thanks for the update, great work so far. Keep up the great work. DeVon
UPDATE :
do you remember this part of my kitchen ???
Look now : we wanted to open the wall to communicate with the other house ... and this is what we found under 40 cm of stone .... :o)
(last photo view from the other house)
Amazing - you are doing so much work - but when you are all finished - you will love and adore all the creative and wonderful additions. It will be a show place.
Have been enjoying your progress. There has been a lot of work done. Looks like you are trying to get as much work done outside before winter starts.
40 cm is just shy of a foot. There must have been a lot of noise and dust going on. At least you know now your house was built sturdy.
How much work
You will have a nice home and beautiful garden
I called my husband to look at your pics !! We are both REALLY impressed - your home is lovely.
I forgot to put the pictures during the operation of gear and just after...
Here for you
It is so cool that we can go through this dream with you from old to new and how beautiful it is coming along. I know you will be glad when it is over and you can just sit and enjoy it all.
REMEMBER the garden during the up standard sanitation....
I work hard since last weekend...just see....
See the beautiful weather we have today (last picture)
Suite soon !!!
Your gardens are lovely, and I'm hoping to see photos when you add your chickens, rooster, ducks, goats and/or sheep. When I was a child, we had ducks, and grandmother had chickens and a rooster, which I fed when I visited her. Sheep are certainly lovely animals to look at, but I've never raised them. It is all so wonderful!
Wow I'm so jealous: On the weather, the garden and most of all the house ;o)
I know it is a lot of work to renovate an old house but it is worth the musclepain.
Greetings, Bettina
love your house and garden. Was always a dream of me. Now we have a Camper for touring through France. Small house no garden but lots of perfect places t be. Have fun with your house and garden and lots of lovely weather, Yvonne
Sissi, it's a thing of beauty! What character and memories that must be stored there. Can't wait to see the new kitchen you have designed.;)

Love the photos, I wish I was there to help. I love to do things like this!!!!
Congratulations on the new home. It's nice to have a dream come true and a place to create your own. Good luck on your endeavors and love the pictures.
On HGTV the have a show called House Hunters International and they showed people looking to buy a house just like yours! So cool, I wonder how cold it gets and how hard it is to heat the big old place.
Beautiful pictures and wonderful home. I hope you have many, many long and enjoyable years in your new nest.;)
wow, isn't that great such a lovely romantic dream coming true. It's lovely!! congratulations!hope to see it one day in real. It looks so pretty. Enjoy!
It is so romantic looking. I can imagine it will keep you busy for a long time, but that is what makes it fun.
the house opened directly into the "kitchen" (very rustic...). with my husband, we built a wall and added a door separating the kitchen to entrance (picture coming soon)....
Huby inspects the kitchen every angle :o)
Naturally, everything is at it again. I make designs for a new kitchen "cottage style", but the prices are scary...
I already bought the old oak floor(imitation), I hope to put it soon !
I will save the wood stove (that works): it will heat the kitchen and will keep food warm
It is a charming kitchen, and your DH is very handsome as he inspects from every angle. I love the cottage style.
I'm wondering about the kitchen... is it modern? Or is it more the old country style? Do you like your new kitchen?
Do you have many fireplaces? :)
In the house we have : 5 bedrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 living room, 1 bathroom and 1 office and the attic to convert in the first part of the house. In the second part everything must be broken to build 3 cottage rooms with bathrooms and 1 living room...
It looks like such a pleasant place to live! Beautiful!
Enjoy! Congratulations on finding such a lovely spot!
Angel

Good luck Cathie J.

the wood is ready and stored for winter (before/after)
after hours and hours spent in the garden (but I'm far from finished...
