Gosh! What a bargain! You sure made out like a bandit! hee hee hee. What fun you're going to have sorting through all of this! *4U
Wow! What a treasure trove. I hope this brings you a lot of joy! You did really good. And for only $15 dollars? That is amazing.
PLEASE don't tell my kids this story...I know that's what is gonna happen IF they have to clean out my STASH someday :(
Husband & I went on vacation and kids came over to the house, had a yard sale, and then kept the money - about $300. Said they were just trying to help me clean.!
oH no!!!!! did they touch your sewing things too? I would have killed them. They could have at least given you the cash since you lost all the things
Michele you did het a bargin there. A nice jester would be to emb them a towel each or sew her something special as a Thankyou. It must have been sad for the lady to "give" away her hobby. :)
I asked her for her address but she didn't give it to me. I don't think it was her hobby I think it was one of their parents and was left in the basement until I showed up.
Wow, you made out like a bandit. Those Marti Mitchell plastic quilt templates are great, and expensive to buy (I know, I have bought some.....)
yes I thought of selling something and I could get all my money back, then I think I could keep them all too!!! what to do LOL
I am happy for you to get these, evidently they no longer had use for them. It does though, make you kind of sad to think what must have happened to the owner, I would have to be DEAD to get any of my sewing out. I have also bought things so CHEAP that I think, "Don't these people know how much time and love the lady put into making this?" I bought afgans that I really didn't NEED but for $1 to $3
where do you live? i'll be right over. lol. great find - have you come down off your HIGH yet? congrats.
It looks like she had a store that went out of business and just wanted to get rid of it so she wouldn't have to store it anymore.
Wow! What a haul you made! I love garage sales. Haven't run into that good of a one, but have always gotten excellent deals at them.
My kids and now GC ask me to find something specific for them and lately the next garage sale day I find what they wanted.
Enjoy your find - well worth the money!
What a great find - imagine the money that was spent on these items...can almost see this same scenerio if anyone has to clean out my sewing room some day...enjoy your treasures *4U
yes but I hope my children will look at what it origanlly cost and not go so low of a price. I am leaving them with all my xmas collections and sewing items that's enough to fill a couple of rooms. if they sell it for that cheap I will come back LOL
You for sure are very lucky, your guardian angel must have been with you. I would think that probably whomever was the owner has either died or not able to sew anymore and the family wanted someone that would appreciate the items to have them. Tell hubby you hit the mother load without breaking the bank. Congrats. enjoy your good fortune.
that's what I did tell him, I couldn't say no after all LOL was to good of a deal to pass up. My MIL is happy to I have already given her a walking foot rulers, quilt books that I own already so she is happy too
Amazing - the pictures look like Aladin's cave. I think you really got a bargain.
You sure hit a gold mine, congratulations you got your $ worth alright.
Lucky you ,she must have been desperate to get rid of it very quickly .How did she even think that you were into sewing ,seeing that you were interested in a table ? Did you have some threads hanging off our clothes ,usually they only ask if your are looking or buying sewing related items.Enjoy your goodies
you would think I had threads hanging off of me but not. I haven't been looking for sewong stuff because my hudband says I have to much already so I was being good. I had to tell him I didn't ask but I couldn't pass up on this deal either LOL
Good for you. You must have been good that day. :-)
What a haul. You definitely got the deal of the day. Way to go.
What a super deal! My kids will have a huge sale when I can no longer sew. Right now I just enjoying making things for the grandkids. Becky
My stash is getting so large they will have a huge sale when I go. I only sew for family make gifts and things for kids but I do have a large family
What a haul... I want to see pictures of the fabric. I went to garage sales this morning too. I bought pots and a plant stand.... Oh and a dresser to store stuff in my sewing room ..I hope it fits
Got to love a bargain. I picked up big bolts of upholstery fabric and industrial size cones of serger thread a couple years ago at a yard sale. You look like you are set for a while.
You sure got a great deal - even if you get rid of some of it - you got more than your money's worth. So happy for you, too.
that's what I had to tell my husband, I could sell some and still make out. Even though he knows I don't sell anything LOL I am a horder when it comes to my sewing. LOL
You must have had some good karma coming your way! Congrats on the stash!
You certainly were a lucky lady!! What a find that was. I know you will enjoy all the goodies. Hugs, Mary
Have fun!!!! You hit the mother lode so to speak....
Looks like you got some lady that had either passed or is now in a nursing home and the family wants it all gone.....but good for you......
OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!! Wish I had landed that one. What a great, fantastic deal you got. Being at the right place and the right time sure paid off for you!!! My friend always seems to have that luck. Lots of nice and expensive things in your stash! Next time you go to garage sales I want to go!!
What a neat surprise! Have fun creating all those wonderful things to add you new finds too!!
Sounds like the husband was all too willing to wheel it all out! LOL! You really hit the jackpot! WOW!
LOL didn't even think of that LOL!!!! but you're right. Mine would do the same thing if he could LOL!!!
