How nice! In an experience I had when. I worked at woolies on a register.I was serving this old lady & in general conversation ,which is customer service.I said hello! how are you today. She then looked 4 me every time she came in.When I had my 1st child she came in with a shawl she had made 4 me.I since found out the first time I spoke to her she had just lost her husband. And I had made her day just by talking to her.All they need is nice words & a cheery person.84u

We seem to touch people in ways that we are not aware of.

Looks like it took us a while to start to carry out jrob's suggestion. But it was worth it.

Isn't it amazing how a "little" kind gesture does so much for someone... As you read my story what I did today also, I walked away feeling blessed myself. *4U

Those warm "fuzzys" go a long way! It was interesting that we both did it the same day.

Clawton, such a sweet caring story. You made someones day. We all should do for the elderly. A kind word or helpful gesture. A BIG bouquet for your thoughtfulness.

Well my keyboard is wet now... Awesome story. We all need to be aware of what we can do for others, even if it is just lending an ear so someone can talk. Blessing and flowers to you clawton! *****

Oh!! now I am crying. I dropped my coupons in the grocery store recently and a man helped me pick them up and he even offered to put them back in order. I thought he was flirting with me, maybe I should have given him a flower!!

the more-- I went to the grocery store. As usual I needed something on the top shelf. Being I'm short I could not reach the item. As I was preparing to scale the shelf this older gentleman ask if he could help. I graciously accepted his help getting the last 2 cereal boxes on the back of the top shelf. Before checking out I thought of jrob's suggestion. Didn't know how he would take to the idea of flowers. I bought one of those package deals where they are bundled together. I found him in the store to say thank you. I told him I didn't know whether he would like flowers to say thanks but maybe he could give them to his wife or a friend. He said his wife had died which started a conversation. It ended with him going to give them to his daughter. He said thanks so much darling. Smiles to all!!!!
