the buttonhole part that needs to be cut does not allow it. Can anybody please help as I do not know how to open it or get wider in order to cut it. I'm stitching in the hoop on felt. Any assistance will be appreciated....

If the area is to small for you to cut without cutting the stitching, you can always come back and put a zig zag stitch to seal the edges. Since you're using felt you probably aren't using a stablizer if so no problem as the felt isn't going to fray.

Thanks for the suggestion, I do use stabilizer as hooping felt alone for dozens of coasters can become too costly.

I just watched a simulation and I think that you believe that the circle is all that you cut. No you have to continue to the edge. I know that might be tight but with a sharp utility knife you should be able to cut between the 2 embroidery lines going from one end to the other in the half of the circle. Hope that helps.

Morning Angie,to save time and effort I hoop stabilizer and use squares of felt, embroider the front part and then place the back part on before I run the final circle stitching. I only slit the top and cut around the circle once taken out of the hoop. I have had no problems with the circle ones from emb.library but really wanted to make the scalloped one. The split is just too tight to use it this way!

Sorry that it is too tight. I wonder if you would contact the digitizer through a PM. Maybe she can help redesigning it.

Thanks Angie for the correct way to explain my dilemma - the part to split the image is not wide enough. I have tried 3 times using different stabilizred without any luck!

I am sorry but I don't see a buttonhole. Are you talking about the slit to slip the base over the glass bottom?
