Marji, Is toile the same as redwork? Are your shell a combo? What color are your towels? I believe I can help you if you let me know these questions.

Thanks, D!!! No, toile is not the same as redwork, but it's a very open kind of embroidery, rather than the denser kind that is more common. At Embroidery Library it's called "A Toile Seashells Pack" I think. I haven't gotten the towels yet, but I think I'm going to get the big bath sheets. I'd like to find ones that are loopy on the back side and that kind of velvety feel on the front, so the embroidery will show nicely, but I'm not sure if I can. I'm not sure how much color matters to DD, because her bathroom is all tropical colors, tropical fish, so anything would go ok. Oh, the seashells are all one color, like redwork, so I could choose any color I wanted. Hope I made sense here, and thanks again for your help! Love, M

Marji, I know just what you are saying. You will need to use the same color of thread in the bobbin. I do not worry that much about the back, I use white bobbin thread on most towels. Is the design a combo of shells? Do you have to combine them first on you computer? I never hoop the towels. I wrote you more on your other question. If you have more questions I will be happy to help. H.*.
