deal in Canada? My machine is a Janome. Since I have started to embroider I have just bought the threads I need at the store, usually it is coats or gutterman-(expensive). I am finding I am going through a lot of thread as I am so inspired by the talent of all who contribute to the art of this wonderful craft! I would like to thank all who help me in advance. Corinne :)

I have a Janome 11000SE and my machine as used Robison-Anton, Jenny Haskins, Thread Art, and other lesser names but after my 200 Thread spools started to going fast, I bought the 116 spools of 5000m thread from Metro in the bulk package.....I have only had problems with one thread since I have started emb. on my machine and it was a metallic and even the teacher (who use to be a Janome dealer herself couldn't get it to work)....Metro is great...and will order the varigated as soon as I make some room for more thread......

I have the Janome MC11000SE.I use to buy my Robison Anton thread at discountembroidery supply. Then, the wonderful cuties here sold me on Metro and I absolutely love it. My RA was rayon, but the poly from Metro has just as much if not more sheen. My machine loves it. Carol

Metro gets my vote! Great pricing and great product for me. I have every color they make. Best to buy in the sets if you can...Large cones are around the $2.00 price in the sets and small cones are only about $.75 in the sets. It's Polyester and has fantastic sheen. I've had a bit of a problem with their prewound bobbins though. Sometimes the jam up a bit, so I usually just wind my own...with Serger thread of all things as my dealer recommended.

I have tried different brands and I Love, Love Love
Metro. No problem with the Metro. I have bought the storage drawers there also and when I can I will buy another. It is a great deal when it is on sale the drawers that is as well as the thread. Colors are great and I just need a few more and I will have completed there first two sets. Will get more when I can. The sheen of the thread is awesome. It also depends what thread your machine likes. Good luck!

Metro gets my vote... bought in bulk and never looked back. Janome 350e and 11000se both like the thread.

I also like the thread from Metro Emb. Thread. It is great thread, & I love the colors. The large spools are especially a great deal. I bought a Cone Thread Holder from Hancocks Fabrics (on sale under $5), & just thread the machine normally. I use for all embroidering, FSL's, & regular embroidering. Hope this helps you, Tammy

I have purchased thread from smartneedle.com it comes with a filled bobbin with each spool. I haven't had any trouble with it. My machine is Hus Viking.

I go to thread art. com they are really good and I use a Janome too. I got a large thread stand and use the big spools. Been real happy with the thread. Use the poly since it doesn't fade as bad as the rayon.

I purchase mine (Madiera) through Allstitch, but I know many Cuties have begun using and like Mettro. My machines have done well with Madiera so I am not fixing what isn't broke and trying new threads. BTW Coats thread leaves a lot of lint if you are sewing with it. Hope you settle on a brand soon.

Thank you for the link-I always use Madiera (my machine doesn't like Metro, always have trouble) I will try here next time I need thread.

I use madiera thread for both my Janome 350 and 11000SE. At first, on ebay I bought the 349 spool thread with chest. It is a great way to store the thread. Now, I buy refills at allstitch.

I like Metro Embroidery, not sure if they ship to Canada. Designs by Sick has a real good deal, 50 spools for $30. but not available to ship to Canada.
