My husband has learned how to solve that problem--He Cooks! hee hee But I do the same for him when he is engrossed in a wood working project so it evens out. He says he owes me for all the meals I cooks when the boys were at home. :)

Quick and easy soup..brown 1 lb. of ground beef (or turkey) add 2 cans of Italian diced tomatoes, 1 can corn, drained, 2 cans drained and rinsed kidney beans and some water... after it comes to a boil put in a handful or 2 of small macaroni shells.. this works with the Mexican tomatoes too and add a handful or 2 of minute rice instead of the shells... this is similar to the soup at the Olive Garden.

I use my slow cooker. Quick and easy chicken. Put chicken pieces in pot with packet of chicken noodle soup and cover with either Coco-cola or for the man in your life cover with beer cook till tender and serve with rice

You've already got several ideas! I usually double cook some meals and freeze half for a "speedy" day!

I love a roast in the roaster then add vegies/rice (make extra rice for a rice pudding next day or fried rice w/frz peas n carrots). How about a big pot of chili in the slow cooker and freeze 1/2 for another day? A whole chicken in either slow cooker or roaster?! Backed potatoes in the "Tater Baker" as per my pic in projects, works gr8. *4U and all here who gave such gr8 ideas

Hi, Good afternoon, it's 4.5 hrs since you posted this. It is 1:45 pm on Mon here (USA Eastern Standard time). It's a lovely day. Finally after all the rain, it's lovely. We had a draught here so the rain was very welcome. We want a green spring. To get back to feeding the family. I often put a roast and vegetables in a dutch oven. Get it started and turn it down and let it go for a few hours. The meat just melts in your mouth. The vegies are good too. We need a cook book on this site too.

I also love crock pot or slow cooker, whatever you call them. Frozen chicken cooks especially well. Dump a little BBQ sauce or some Italian seasoning and dish is solved. My sweetie also likes pork ribs in the crock pot. They are so tender, meat falls off the bones. Yum yum!!!

I like to cook double or triple quantities and only serve one part. rest goes into the freezer for too-busy-to-cook days. Flower for you.

Frozen family size dinners are good to go. Just take out of foil pan before serving and they think you slaved all day. grab a pie or cake on your way by the deli put on fancy plate. WOOOOOOOW what a meal you created, smells good also. Good luck and flowers to all

don't I know your problem!! I find freezer meals handy, love stuff like frozen paella, chinese noodles, pies, pizza.... just pop in pan or oven and ready in a few minutes. Otherwise pasta is always quick to make. When I do prepare food such as soups and stews I make triple portion and freeze. I freeze lasagna and baked pasta too. And when I really have no time for anything there's always a loaf of bread and a toaster lol. Thank God hubby is not a fussy eater!!

crock pot meals are a life saver - you put them on in the morning - they cook all day while you are at work, or with your friends at cute. Dinner time comes, and you meal is ready - clean up is easier, and you can get back to you sewing or internet friends.
