Are any of our Cuties anywhere near all the dreadful flooding of the Mississippi River? We've seen shocking videos of the mighty river flooding townships. Love and blessings Chris

I live one mile from the Mississippi in Minneapolis, MN, near Lock and Dam #1. The river is very high, some areas in St. Paul have been flooding.

We are about 90 miles from the mighty Mississippi River. Our rivers have flooded out of their banks and flooded the flat land. The town of Pocahontas flooded, could not get in or out, just miles and miles of water. Here in Hardy, Arkansas our Spring River flooded the park and rv park, and homes along the river. Our farmers along the Mississippi River are going to loose more than 500 million in crops from the flooding. It is just so unreal. We are up a little higher so no great losses to our property. Just wet, wet, wet. Feels like you're walking thru pudding! My heart aches for all those that are suffering from this. Carol

Trevor was telling me when he was in America a few years ago now, that he went somewhere where the Mississippi is about a mile wide and he told me that now it is 5 miles wide in the same place! I can understand the heartache of the farmers. It's just so mindnumbing. Love Chris

We have our own flooding going on along our rivers - not like the Mississippi - but having a rough time in some area's. We are about 1/2 mile from one of the rivers - but we are higher up - so we will never experience any trouble with it - it is more downstream that will.

I have been praying for all around the country - this weather has been unreal this year.

We do have these two that live in Mississippi:
bkd147 Mississippi
becky45 Becky Mississippi

However - the Mississippi is a very long a huge river - that would involve several states: Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, & Louisiana - besides Mississippi:
I don't know the cities that are close to the river - but we have these members:
marlakay Holmen Wisconsin
mmgreyhounds Maureen Wisconsin
dollysays Wisconsin
sgwinn Suzanne Grimes Iowa
puppyjo Iowa
brendaleas Webb City Missouri
chris Kansas City Missouri
geruvyme Lisa Cedar Hill Missouri
1ladyb Bentonville Arkansas
kttyhwk4 Arkansas
nonmusicmom Paula Arkansas
belwllms55 Baton Rouge Louisiana
brendaburgess Brenda Lafayette Louisiana

Hopefully - we will hear from them - whether or not - they are affected or are safe.

Thanks Shirlene for all those listed - I haven't seen a few of them on here for a while and so hope all is well with them and their families. Thank God you are high up and out of the reach of the flooded areas. Love Chris

It is a terrible year, I think with all of the flooding and torneadoes. And hurricane season is still 2 weeks away. Scary year.

I'm on the opposite, Texas is in a drought and has been for years, we have to put up with wildfires and there have been tornados this spring. But the flooding is awful, there is nothing you can do but get out when the river bears down on you. Praying for their safety.

Dear Bev, well I hope for your sake you will get some Spring rain. It poured here on Monday and we are expecting a bit more later on next week. We've just heard that Snow is falling down in the Blue Mountains and that's good for the beginning of the ski season in June. Love Chris
