Hi again Raels, just dropped by to let you know, I've been having a play with Embird and so far I'm quite impressed. I just have to stitch out a design and see if it will work with my Elna Xquisit, it saves in Elna's .emd format but not in the .esx format which is required for the combined stitch out instructions... I am thinking seriously of buying it. higs, Meganne

Hi Raels, just dropped by for a minute and noticed your Q, if you go to this site you will get an idea of Embird & capabilities. Many ladies on my Elna group swear by Embird even though our machines have a specific and mostly unavailable format, they digitise in Embird then open the design in Elna's Xpressive to reformat for their Xquisite machines. I have been thinking about Embird for a long time as I am disappointed with my text digitising so I intend to download the free trial to try. I'll let you know how I go. roses, Meganne

Great question raels, I was looking at buying this too. The free trial is about 30 days or so many times you use it, whatever comes first. I was just wondering from those who have used it, are you better off getting a small design and making it bigger, or a bigger design and making it smaller? Quite often, designs on emblibrary.com have about 3 sizes, so does that mean you could get one size and play about rather than purchasing multiple sizes of the same set? What does Embird do that wilcom doesn't. (Demanding little thing aren't I??) Flowers for raels for asking this one.

I always buy the middle size and then if needed I alter it on buzz size

The best thing to do raels, is to try the 30-day version. That way you'll see if it does what you want it to. Hugs and a flower sweetie, and have fun trying Embird.

Hi I have had Embird for a few years and have updated over the time..I love it..it is easy to use ..and you can download and try it before you buy...also you can download the tutorial and have a read up first..I use it every day especially to combine designs for the larger hoop saving on re-hooping,,,I have also got the digitizer but is not necessary unless you want to do you own designing..also converting formats is really easy too....try before you buy I think it is for a month..hope this helps Cheers Dianne

Do you want to learn to digitize? Or is it just for resizing designs and such that you want it? I guess what I am asking is, what do you want to do?

I have BuzzXplore and was also thinking at first to get Buzz Size but started leaning towards Embird more I heard of it. Would also like to know which is better. I need something to split designs and when I resize a design that the amount of stitches will be compensated. I have time tho, I need to pick up a couple shifts at work, never worked for 2 months *4U
