Thank you for your comments. My Mother is a very blessed humble lady and is loved by many people. She has many name sakes "Janella", as she was named for her too grandmothers. One was Jane and the other Ella. Most people have always know her as Jan and my sister as little Jan or Jan,Jr. I was fortunate to have my own name Kay. As I did not have to live up to my name. I hope she makes it on the show. It was always a joke. I daughter and I would remind her that she had to live long enough to be on Willard Scott, and then later on she started telling every one she met just how old she was and seemed to be so proud of her age. Kay
740450I bring this back to the top as my sister just came in and found a recording from NBC Today Show on her answer machine that Mother's Birthday may be on tomorrow ,June 9,2011 or she may get a card. I must say they are a bit unorganized as Mother's Birthday was May 4th. Any way , if any of you don't mind wasting time to watch, I would be so proud for you to watch. Knowing how we were treated before, she may only get a card. Think positive!!! Kay

25531I was so disappointed. Mother was not on. My daughter was calling and asking why. I called my sister and she said she got the info in time to them , but doesn't know why. I know there are more things important, but we tease her often that she looks forward to her birthday. She enjoys telling people how old she is. I was fortunate to see her at Easter for a short visit. Kay

Hope your Mother is well. We had a wonderful birthday party for Mother at 95 because she thought it would be her last and then another hugh party, several hundred people, for her 100 th. She was still in bed when the people started coming and she heard the music and they put her in a wheelchair and rolled her next to the piano and she loved it!
