Quote from husband, "You stayed up how late downloading embroidery designs? There's something funny going on with you and embroidery designs." ;)

Like Linda I gave my house to the dustbunnies ;o)
That design is one of my favorites...

As I sleep only 4 or 5 hours per night, I have time. But my husband says I am crazy with all these freebies? But my son understands and when I have no computer available, he downloads for me, he is 17 ! nice ? I answer my husband, how many screw do you have in your tool box ?
have fun

I think your English is wonderful.

ansalu by ansalu 07 May 2011

ALice, your english is perfect! I also never sleep 8hours a night but still have not enough time to use all the designs I'm collecting and buying :o) Lucky you that your son is dl for you.
That parallel with the screws remind me on my time at the ikea-kitchenplaning. Many men said they don't need a dishwasher cause for that they have their wives! When you ask how many tools they have and how often they use them they were very silent at once ;o)
Greetings, Bettina

I think husbands are fighting a loosing battle. My husband brought me a paper clipping the other day, and it said "Men are losing out to computers" I have the whole clipping pinned to my wall. He also wonders: What are you going to do with all of these designs, you will never use them all !!!!!! My answer? I do not sit in front of T.V. all day, and like sitting in front of computer (between working), so we are quits. That stopped some of the moaning ha, ha
Hugs and God bless

Thank Heavens I am not the only one.

Since starting embroidery my days have become night and I sleep all day, it's the only way I don't feel guilty sitting at the computer when I should be doing house work. LOLOLOL!!!!

I blame it on the after effects of cancer and chemo, I don't want to go to bed in case I miss something, but then once I go to sleep I can't wake up!!!!

HELP!!!!!!

Yes! Isn't it great! Some place safe to go/be, when you can't sleep.

Well this addiction keeps us off the streets. It's like the time I wanted to get some more threads & my hubby said "why have you used all that other lot?"

I don't have to worry about a husband, but my dog starts sticking her wet nose in my face between 11 and 12 pm and forces me to retire. Otherwise I would probably keep on going and going.

Same to me ;o) I learned to live with 3hours-sleep and it helps!
Found this pic once here and I love it. So true and it doesn't snore when you go to bed *lol*
Greetings, Bettina (it's 5.50am and I have now just 1hour for sleeping so I have to hurry to my bed...)

Bettina that is not good for your health. I don't want to sound like a mother but you need sleep. Please take care of yourself.

airyfairy by airyfairy 04 May 2011

Bettina - I hope you are listening. 3 hrs is not enough sleep, especially if you have young children. Huhs Sarah.

ansalu by ansalu 04 May 2011

Thank you for your care but I'm always a nightowl (never was a late-riser; give me 8hours of sleep and I'm a lazy and grumpy and you would never do that fault ;o). When I made my apprenticeship as confectioner in a bakery I start at 3.30am and most of the time I came straight from my favorite club downtown; good old times *lol*
Most of the time I get 4-5hours (often not in one part) but for me that's enough. Today I will be a little bit tired but I hope that I can sleep about 2 hours when Felix is in the kindergarten (otherwise I have customerorders...).
Greetings, Bettina

My daughter's answers to things, "That sounds like a problem." Sometimes I think we stay on the internet thinking it may not be there tomorrow. We are so fortunate to have all this amazing information available to us at our fingertips. Sleep is overrated. lol

That just might be the best part about *not* currently having a husband or live-in partner! A useful saying comes to mind:
"Ask no questions, and be told no lies!"

I make it point to never tell him! Since I use a laptop, sometimes I just tell him I fell asleep with it on my lap. Another one of my life rules is never tell him any more than he absolutely has to know!

Did you actually tell him how late it really was? Mine would have a fit if he knew what all I do on here. But then, it does keep me out of trouble. Well, most of the time.
