The more I read the more confused I become. What is the purpose of "sending a flower"? And where are the "flowers to send"?

kilee, right now you have 400 flowers - that number grows when you are given another flower - either by someone clicking on the flower - on your post or answering a comment made by you or both. You can give and receive flowers by can not give them to yourself. And you receive one daily from the CUTE site for coming online, if you do.

They are for FREE and for FUN - they help you acknowledge another's comment, project or post - they also have become a tool to mark that you have read that question or seen that project.

Hope you enjoy all the flowers of your garden.

Do you like to get flowers from someone? This is a simple way of giving you a flower for posting, answering posts. Like someone told me when I was new. "Watch you garden grow". You can't use the flowers for any design, but its nice to see how many flowers you can collect. I now have over 1931. And just about a month ago I had 500.
We all like giving and getting flowers. Just enjoy them. I check to see how many I collected all the time. In no time you have a lot just in one day.
Hugs and Welcome to the site. It is well worth all the designs and tips and getting to know others around the world.

Flowers are also good for marking that you have read a post.

All for fun and to brighten anothers day. Also to say Thank you for a design or I agree with what you've said. When you look at a coment such as your own on the right you will see a flower. You click on it and it says thanks +6 and a flower or what ever number you have just given. The system adds one flower and you can only click on that comment once to give a flower. You can not give yourself flowers though.
Here's another for you!

The flowers are also a way to say "Thank you." Many of us leave flowers not only for the person who posts but for the folks who leave a response. It is fun to see your "garden" grow. Charla

Kilee, the purpose of sending a flower is to acknowledge you read someone's post and their green flower will turn orange to add to their bouquet (total)of flowers. This post will remain with an orange flower to let you know you have already read that post in the future.
It is nice to see your total number of flowers add; some make a game of it. You can click on the green flower to give someone a flower, but you cannot give yourself one. The number by the grey flower is the total flowers you have been given by members reading your post.
