of my Brother 770 for the past few days. I was right in the middle of making the Fairy Tale blocks from EmbLibrary when it siezed up and refused to go any further in the process. There is no Brother repairman here in my town so I was looking at having to drive all the way to Okla. City (about 2 hrs. away) to find someone to work on it. My daughter suggested I call the quilt shop in a town about 30 min. away and lo and behold they have a repairman in their shop and he works on Brother machines! And even better, he was all caught up on his work and had time to take on my machine right away! Even though it's supposed to be a machine that doesn't need oil, apparently it DOES! After tearing her all apart and oiling all her parts she is alive and well and purring like new! Today the sun is out and all is right in my world again! Oh, and FYI the fairy tale blocks are absolutely beautiful!

So glad this worked out for you. You'll be putting miles back on her before you know it. Glad you're up and running again and flowers for all!

Good for you, I'm glad everything worked out. What else would you do with your time?

Wow, seriously? Oil? I checked my manual but mentions nothing of it so I assumed it's like my Janome sewing machine - greased by a service tech when it goes for a holiday. Hrm, might be time for me to take the outside off the machine and have a peek (I'm a DIY girl lol). I dont have the 770, mine is old.

So glad it was an easy fix for you (or rather for your baby)and that you're up-and-running again :D I pine for my machines while they're gone whether I've used them in the last 6 months or not lol. xXx

Super! My Babylock dealer is about 1 1/2 hours away, but they make time for me to come and shop in the area while it's looked at. So great to have some immediate care, isn't it? Happy sewing. Hope you post the finished blocks. I have them, but have not made anything with them yet.
