What really makes machine embroidery so special?

z43mak, welcome again, you ask what makes machine embroidery so special - well, I think it's all the beautiful people of the *Cute* family that make it so special!!! If we weren't machine embroiderers we wouldn't have a place here, would we? Hang around sweetie and you'll soon be as addicted as the rest of us - and don't we love being addicted, haha, there's no thrill like the thrill of being here and downloading freebies at the same time, and sometimes we even get to stitch some of those designs. Hugs and a flower to welcome you.

I want to thank all the wonderful people who left responses to my question. It was asked as a way to say hello, I am here. I am a member of other sites, but never felt the personal touch that is present here. Everyone seems to really enjoy being a part of the group, and that is present in the words. Isn’t it wonderful that one can be in one place, and know people from all over the world? Thanks for the warm welcome!

Z., welcome to the 'CUTE' family - I guess you are JK - reading much farther down - but nonetheless and oppertunity to voice our opinion of something that we all love is always a pleasure. Hehehe! If you have been observing you know us a bit better than we know you, but we will get to know you - when you post such BIG questions that spark our interest, like this one. Hehehehe! Please post some of your older projects or the new ones that you are working on now. We would love to view your work, too. Have fun and join us - whenever you get the chance. You now have 58 flowers - we will watch for you to make the list on the right, soon, too! *4U - Shirlene

Welcome to the group - I think that it is amazing that you can put something into your computer, and to your machine and made so many beautiful things. I hated to embroider by hand - I found it boring, but really love to work with the machine embroidery. And like the others - love, love, love the freebies.

Everything you said and then some. I just like to watch it stitch and the design develop. If you have ever done hand embroidery you soon get an appreciation for what the machine can do!

Well, glad you stopped by to chat. Welcome and I am so very glad to see you! I always thought that it was the fact that my sister is a painter, and interior designer, my brother a mathmetical genius, and I was....well...artistically challanged. BUT, This is a little cheat that I can do, it gives me artistic license and combines another of my loves, quilting. And I get to use all of my senses, even taste if you count when I spray adhesive. hahahah! Maybe that's why I'm a little off center....yeah, that's it, the spray!;)

I guess I will answer first; since it is time to make myself known. I have been with embroidery for a long time, and I have collected an incredible number of free designs. People like to make fun of me, knowing I will only use a few of them, but I “love my freebies.” I find embroidery very relaxing and enjoyable; it satisfies the creative need, and produces very meaningful gifts. It is also fun when people come to your home, and have to check all your great projects; just be ready for requests. I am usually at or near my computer, since I write, but frequent embroidery breaks, are good for the mind. I have really enjoyed this site, for the community of wonderful, sweet, and caring individuals that are here. I find it truly inspirational and motivational; love you all!
