Well - I've searched and searched and searched and the only alternative to me buying a new machine that I can't afford is to learn how to split and re-hoop my projects that I really want to do. I've ordered potentially the answer to my problem from www.editingwizardry.com .... Has anyone used it? I'm really hoping this is what I'm looking for. I'm waiting for the stuff to come in the mail, but in the meantime I received three bonus projects by email. I've started looking at them and I admit I'm a bit overwhelmed at the moment. Although I've had Embird for almost 2 years it is as foreign to me as can be. If I was more familiar with it, this might not be so scary. Her directions seem very precise and literally walk you through each split all the way to the end. She seems thorough - but since I don't know diddly about digitizing - I'm not sure. She always seems to go back and deal with underlay, loose ends and the like. I hope that when I receive the initial program I can start at the beginning and it will all make complete sense. Does anyone have any experience or words of advice??

Yes, I purchased Rosmary's Split Wizardry. She is the GURU when it comse to splitting designs so you won't find a better tutorial on this subject.

Splitting designs is editing, not digitising so you don't need to know how to digitise to understand this, you just need to understand about the effects of underlay on a design, and if you have done any embroidery then you already know enough to get you started.

Good luck and enjoy, Meganne
