I have used your lovely designs and have made a few t-shirts to practice with my new machine. All of the designs have worked so well! Again, thanks!

This is my question: I have been researching to find software that simplifies storage and access of downloaded files--i.e., makes more user friendly and saves time finding the design you know you have and want to use that moment. In my research, I found a site that is new to me...perhaps you know of it..,but I willl list it at the end of my note incase you do not.;>)
If you have any recommendations for software that is good for organizing and quickly accessing design files on a computer, I would be excited to learn what you use and recommend. I found one recommendation at SewForum for SewIconz, I have not used it yet....as I have been using Pulse and Wilcom, free software, but while it is not freeware, it appears that SewIconz allows you to see the patterns in the storage folders. Thanks in advance for reading and responding to my inquiry.
God bless you all and thanks again.
PS: I love giving out flowers and it is a great reminder to me that I already have the design! Here is the website; the patterns are sweet wee teddies, piggies, bunnies etc.

Welcome to Cute, we are glad you are here. I use Studio Plus to store and organize my designs. Not free but easy to use and has been good to me for 5 years.

In one of the answers Embird is mentioned. The Iconiser gives pictures for all designs, but you can not use it without the Basic Embird module. That is great for customising your designs, so I can recommend that, but it is not what you are looking for at the moment. SewIconz does the same without having to buy other software as well.

What you can do to organise your designs is to save them in an organised way to different files.
You can categorise them on subject: animals, flowers, children, FSL, you name it, or on designer/website.
I file per website/designer and add the conditions of the site in a word-document (can you sell embroidered items or is it personal use only). Then I make subfiles per category.

My own designs are saved with info which I can add in my software. That makes a search very easy. I could do that with bought designs and freebies as well, but find that too time consuming.

Hi Ro! I like your kitty picture! What kind of computer do you use? I use a Mac and have a great program for viewing and organizing files called Stitch Buddies. I don't know how Windows users actually view their designs. Welcome to Cuties!

Embird is a name I see on here quite often as a good software. I'm sure another Cutie will be able to get more specific with you. I just want to say WELCOME!
