Sandra, so sorry to hear what happened. Did you happen to see letvia's post yesterday - *I am just letting everybody knows that in the bookmarks is a site that has potential virus* (it should be on the first page again) - just wondering if maybe you had visited one of these sites and that's where your trouble came from. Big hugs and lots of flowers to you sweetie, you must be feeling absolutely awful about it all.

Sandra, so sorry to hear that you lost your contact list, but that can be reestablished, you should be grateful that it didn't do major damage to your PC, and I am sure that you are, too! I keep a list of my people, beside my PC, just for this reason, in a little tablet, but it might be because I am from the old school. Haha! A flower for you.

Sandra, that is awful - how on earth could someone do that? Don't you have a firewall or anything like that? That is just not right. *4U

Shirlene, they can do it quite easily. When you go to a website they send cookies to your PC, most are harmless and you don't need to worry about them - just ocassionally someone sends a harmful one. And if they can *send to* your PC, they can also *steal from* your PC. No amount of firewalls, virus programs etc will keep *everything/everyone* out. To the bad people, it's a full-time job hacking into other people's PCs. This is why we need to be careful which sites we go to. Having put the frighteners on you sweetie, haha, hugs and a flower, and have a fun day.

shirlener88 yes it was awful at first I thought my PC hadn't loaded up properly as there were no contacts on the list and so I restarted my computer and when it came back on my son in law had sent me an email to let me know that he had got the email and that I had been attacked by the hacker. He also said that they have hacked into hotmail and not my computer as I have other email address and they were ok so it has come from outside my computer but he said that he had never known them to delete the contacts but that is what happened. Anyway I have some rearanging to do now with not only the password by how they are set up and not to come on automaticily or to rember my password. I think that is how they got in.

I have changed my password and have found the source of where it has come from and will be dealing with it. Please delete it and run your security and spyware and update all your security. I am sorry but it was a shock to me to find that all my contacts from my MSN hotmail account had been deleted from my computer.I hope you are all safe. This happened at 5am EST. Aw, I am sorry to hear that, what a bummer! I never thought about my contacts being deleted...that would be a disaster! Guess I'd better do a backup of that, too. Thanks for the warning. ;)
