C'est rare de trouver des réalisations "tout dans le cadre", et pourtant je cherche. Merci pour cette pochette simple mais qui peut être personnalisée à l'infini. Je vais vite m'en servir.
Amitiés.
Thank you sewmom and thank you Lena for bringing this design to the top, I missed it the first time around. Marg
Thank you! I will use this template to make bags for Christmas gifts (and gift cards as well). Thanks for sharing your work.
Thank You Sewmom this will be very handy as we will be able to put any design or letter Thanks Again
Thanks, Sewmom, for this bag. I love to give gifts in fabric bags and often sew up novelty fabrics instead of wrapping paper. I was wondering if there is a way this could actually be adapted to have a finished top edge on it. Would it have to be hooped differently to add a finished top edge? It would be sew nice for me to be able to make some little gift bags ahead of time out of my novelty fabrics and have them with the little drawstrings. They would be much nicer than the ones I usually do.... Maybe it would be easier just to add a tight zig zag edge to this one as it is... What do you think? Thanks, Lee and Sewmom for this little time saver!!
Very good question and I will discuss it with Lee too. My first thought is that we could add a satin stitch to the top edge. The tricky part would be lining up the front and back perfectly when you put them together.
For now, your top edge finish would depend on the type of fabric you use.
Non raveling fabric: leave it as is or fold under once and top stitch with a straight or decorative stitch.
Raveling fabric possibilities:
1. any normal hem
2. serge the edge
3. Satin stitch (tight zig zag if fabric is firm enough)
4. serge and turn under, then top stitch
With any fabric you could also add lace, ribbon, or trims to the edge.
Thank you Sewmom and congratulations on this digitizing project! So nice to find a little bag with many uses.
*4u!
Hugs,
Jacqueline
