Meg, dear this is good news, always nice to get a deal and to recieve them quickly. I have you in my prayers for the end of the week and let us know how things go. I have had a scare or two in my days, it is best to leave it in His hands and accept His will for us. You have lots of embroidering to do and we want to see all those new colors, soon. A flower for you. HaHa

Oh and I forgot to mention that the 100 spools came with 20 clear storage tubes that hold six spools each and have screw-on lids. Also, for the price i paid I got to choose all the colours i wanted, so I chose colours to match Madeira thread. This was a huge selling point for me. Cheers to all, Meganne

Thanks Ruthie, yes I'm whooping like a cowboy, truly, the animals all think i've gone nuts.. :-) Thanks for your well wishes and prayers, I'll just hold onto them until the Doc tells me 'when' she's going to do the Op., which she should do on Thursday. Cheers & a rose, Meganne

Meg, I am so happy for you to get such a wonderful surprise. It's exciting to get lots of "tools" for our trade, huh? Please be sure and let us know as soon as you can how your surgery goes Thursday. Tell your DH he can come on and post. Promise we will be nice to him! I have you in my prayers. ;)

Thanks so much Jrob, yes it's exciting checking everything out, still haven't got to it yet as i will need to catalogue them all and my lovely friends here in our group come first. Worse luck I only 'see' the surgeon on Thursday, will still have to wait for the op to be done, seems to be taking forever and i just want it to be over. Patience is a Virtue, i'm a bit short on right now. LOL! cheers and a rose, Meganne

oh, dear Meg. I do hope you didn't pray for patience.... I made that mistake once, and was shown just how much patience I had, and honestly, I don't think I needed to know! Well, we will be waiting to hear and praying for good news. ;)

thanks for the website, after the floods here in Central Qld. there is nothing in town as people are too busy tidying up and catching up to put in orders, and the next best shopping is 3 hours drive, and has also flooded recently. But you are paying too much, in Melb and here in Qld. R&A is only $9.95 for a 1000m spool, could be worth a shop around when it comes time to replace favourite colours. You've done really well with your purchase, and what beautiful quality and colours R&A have. ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Libster. So very sorry to hear about the floods, it must be absolutely devastating!
Wow, $9.95 is not a bad price but even that adds up $995 plus postage, so I still saved $622 real Aussie dollars, enough to go back and buy 100 Poly spools, LOL! And it only took 8 days to get here from when i placed the order. I can highly recommend ShoppersRule to everyone. cheers & a rose, I hope you didn't suffer too much from the floods, Meganne

a saving enough to buy more, love your thinking. The floods didn't hurt me personally, apart from an overgrown yard when we got back from Melbourne, but some businessess are still playing catch up. The one sewing machine/embroidery supplier had to move ALL their stock out (glad I didn't have to do it) just in case, then wait until it was ok to move it all back in then catch up on all their usual embroidery orders, shirts, workclothes, etc, and haven't even thought about getting new stock in as they are slowly getting re-organsied. but this site is fantastic, you are a champion of bargain hunters for letting us know. I'm thinking of joining the thread club to get some monthly surprises. Thanks again for sharing.

I purchased a special 100 Rayon pack from Shoppersrule:- http://www.shoppersrule.com/ -for only $347 US including shipping, a saving of over $800. Sincere thanks to the lady here who shared this website with us, sorry but just can't recall who it was. cheers, Megann

I should add that R&A thread, here in NSW Australia, costs around $13.99 AUD per reel so the actual saving I made was over $1,000 AUD. I could never afford to pay that amount for thread.
Oh, to get the special price you need to sign up for their newsletter, but it's free and I don't mind receiving a few extra emails when it saved me so much money. cheeers, Meganne

WOW! The way I feel and all the ideas swarming in my head, that sounds like the best way to get thread :D And to think that my air brush that my husband bought me should be coming in any day now from the USA too hehehe. I want to combine both medias... stitching and airbrush when I get good at it

Meg, that is great - glad you have gotten them - you should have lots of pretty projects to show us soon. Hehehe! *4U

meganne by meganne 17 Mar 2008

Now Joanie, that sounds really interesting, but you shouldn't give me any more ideas, I retired my airbrush years ago, but it still works!!! LOL!

meganne by meganne 17 Mar 2008

Hey Shirl, I'm hoping to do some embroidery after I have my breast surgery, a bit hard to concentrate just now. Thanks for the encouragement though, i really need it right now. M

joaniessw by joaniessw 17 Mar 2008

Meganne, what kind of airbrush do you have? Did you experiment with dif types of paint or jus use a specific type.brand? What things do you paint on?

meganne by meganne 17 Mar 2008

I was using my airbrush for Ceramics and porcelain, another retired Hobby :-( Only because I have nowhere to do it, You need to have a good painting bay set up somewhere where you don't need to worry about the overspray and plenty of butcher's paper for 'test-spraying' and unclogging nozzles onto etc. I have a Sagola 777 Compressor and a Paasche Type H set Airbrush. So long since i've used it I just had to locate it LOL! I really loved using mine so I'd love you to share what you create with it. cheers, Meganne
