Considering the little elephant is in the middle of a bunch of baby stuff (THANKS, CUTEEMBROIDERY! My babies are going to be decorated in lots of CUTE stuff now!) I figured he was a picture of a baby toy, like a rattle or a teether, and the hole was to form his handle.

well, I bet you could do that - if you stitched in on felt or something - then what would you do to make it rattle?
14146program just see how he would stitch out - I wanted to know if there was a reason for the whole in his backside - if you could put a picture there or not - so I had it running and my dear husband came in and by then it was stitching out the trunk and he said, "What a cute little elephant!" I said, "Yes, it is it came from cuteenbroidery.com" He said, "OH no, I have been sucked into the fortex of 'CUTENESS'" I thought you might get a chuckle out of it. I was rather shocked that he was so clever about all my goings on - Hehehe!
