them. They called (they're 7 & 9) and were just gigling, they were so thrilled with their candy bags and the other cute thing is they are going to use them as purses for their baby dolls after.

So, a very big Thank-you to Lee for her wonderful ideas and designs. Something so easy and inexpensive just thrilled two little girls. Just wanted to share. Carol

This is so true. Went out to supper last night and instead of usual chocs or wine took a tea towel that I had embroidered. Went down so well.

Good to hear of their joy on receiving. My older sons are a little more jaded in their views now and tell me I shouldn't bother doing personalised towels etc for people because they're boring. They don't know as much as they think they do, those teens -and I'll ignore those comments anyway and focus on more positive ones like yours :)

They may act like they want this or that from the store, but something made especailly for them by you seems to mean so much more to them! They will treasure those little candy bags for a long time, and probally stash them away in a treasures box for when they grow up. My daughters now give me suggestions on what I can make for them for christmas, their birthdays, and for the grandchildren even. One of my daughters asked if I could make her twin sister massage oil holsters for Christmas.
Shes a student right now in massage theraphy and I made her holsters for her oil bottles from Christmas. She loves them and said that the other students really like her holsters too, several asked her where she ordered them from so they could get ones like hers. Her response, they are one of a kind, made with love by my mom. And she's 24, so no they don't outgrow it, just move away from it for a while maybe. But they see the love and thoughfulness you put behind it.

Carol that was so sweet! I'm sure they really enjoyed them. If they are Am. Girl doll lovers of course they are the perfect size for that... Thanks for sharing.

Your little gifts made them feel more special because you made them especially for them and them alone, they don't have to share and at their age that means a lot. Think these bags will be around for a long time as dolls don't carry around too much stuff..lol.
