I really can't say for sure but I did have a problem with threads shredding and breaking. I was using a size 11 needle since I had been doing thinner material then went to a little thicker so i tried a size 14 needle and it stopped. I thought maybe the thread I was using (cotton) was a little too thick for the size 11 and it worked for me. Hope you get your problem solved. *4U

If you post a question and run out of soace in the main box, there's a second one underneath called 'add details' where you can finish your question. It stays with it and won't be separated and difficult to find.

I don't have an Artista, but shredding may be caused by a needle getting dull.
