Wow, you got lots of ideas. You may have one area of the room where the floor is a big more stable too. Maybe a corner wouldn't be as jiggly. I'd be tempted to make it look cute too. If you could find a piece of plywood to put down under you machine, why not cover it with either an old quilt, or some batting covered with a neat piece of fun sewing room fabric. Staple the fabric on the back so it looks like you meant to have that piece of plywood on your floor. I always try to make my "fixes" look like I meant them to be that way. IF you used the fix fabric other places in the room, it would look coordinated and fun.

Try an outdoor Carpet, Some of the designs are quite beautiful and are an inexpensive alternative when you only want to do a small area not the entire room.Home Depot / Lowes are a good source. Also get a good padding.I use a small Cooks padded gel piece under my machine. These mats feel like they are a soft cushion and are used by stylists, barbers, cooks etc when you have a need to stand in one place for a long time. Some are even at banks for tellers now. This way my machine does not dance around.

no it is called poster board. It is heavy duty, can be cut with a knife and is kind of like stryafoam in the middle.

Installing a carpet where the machine is going to be sounds like a great idea! You can go to carpet places and find very cheap pieces

I went to Staples and bought poster board to put right under my machines. It helped it from "Bouncing" I have my machines on a table that kind of shook before I used the poster board. Hope this helps. Hugs, Mary

I just showed your post to my husand Rob. He suggests that you put down any kind of carpeting then a 4x4 piece of 3/4 inch plywood on top of the carpeting. He thinks this will be enough to absorb the vibration. I hope that you are able to find a cheap fix.
