Wanting to know if it holds up when the garment is washed. Considering putting a design on a toddlers T-Shirt but not sure if the mom would remember to turn inside out or put it in a laundry bag. Also, how did it do in the dryer?

Fringe Embroidery instructions that I should have looked at. This has a lot of good information about the fringe.

A friend's daughter has baby blanket with fringed embroidery and she washes it frequently and the fringe is holding up well and everywhere they go someone is always sure to comment on the fringe designs.

I have done a heart and a square(applique with fringe on edge) (filled heart with fringe on edge), both turned out very nice. Good quality designs. Dakota collectables- country crafts. Did on sweatshirts, my mom loves them.

Knowing that you were able to wash multiple times is a plus. Thanks for posting.

I did a flower & when it was washed a couple times, it sorta "bunched up." Better try it on a scrap & wash it a few times before putting it on a child's shirt that will washed often!!

Will do a trial design and see how it washes up and dries. My mind wasn't thinking about using the stitch out. Thanks

I have done some of the fringer flowers, but they were put on a photo album - so I do not know how they would wash up. But, like Shirlene said, I think that they may do well if washed wrong side out.

I would like to know too! I've never done fringe but I bet someone on here has and will be glad to answer your question! I'll be watching for the answer!

Yes, I have - haven't done it with a shirt - however I have on coasters and it held up pretty good - that hard part about any fringe is making the fring look good - when it has been washed. I would think - if it is a fringe for a little animal - the fringe would hold up pretty nice - but the turning wrong side out - might help.

Was also thinking about not cutting the fringe threads. Thanks.
