2316310393I hope to join in this month's challenge. I started on the "sunflower challenge" and then "things" came up, like sickness, keeping Grandchildren, death in my husbands family. Well, that's just normal life isn't it? I'll try to finish it and post pic anyway. I think it's a good way for us to try all the different kind of emb. designs.

609Sometime, not necessarily this February, I'd like to try out doing some redwork. I was thinking some white on red and of course valentines would be pretty. I want to make a tablecloth for my mom. Any hints would be nice. I heard you need to NOT use tear away stabilizer.... is this correct? I'd love to participate in this February project!

Hi Bev, is this your Challenge to us? Or are we still debating? I would like to try something as too many visitors prevented me doing the sunflower. I think your above idea is good.

as for valentines are only for lovers-does that mean that adults are the only ones in the UK that recognize and celebrate it??? Jeepers-here in the USA-grade school kids even exchange Valentines. Hmmm...different cultures, different customs. Bev's idea sounds like fun!

I like both of them more than the alphabets ones for using in unique ways.
22354I really like the applique' animals with hearts. I don't see to many possiblities with the lace, and not everyone is going to want to use the same alphabet. Which means we would need to be able to download the whole alphabet. I also agree that it needs to be a Ms. Veronica design to show how much we appreciate all shes done for us!

7232It's a good idea. The Sunflower challenge was great fun. Doing the same design made it so much more interesting, when we saw the variety of ways it could be used. I think you may end up needing to choose, just as Sue did :)

20661I like the idea of a challenge - why don't we do any of the Valentine Appliques - here on CUTE - thinking outside the box - how many different ways - could we make any of these designs - there are four of them - look different from what the other's have done or what we would use these designs for? These can not be voted on - so perhaps - someone has a better idea.
We could do any of the LACE Valentine's Day Font - most of have one or more of those - don't we?
