I always hoop the WSS and put the Organza on top and use the fix-button on my sewingmachine to fasten the Organza with the WSS, and it works.
oh dear, I suppose I did it the wrong way reading all this... I didn't use any WSS at all.I just hoped the organza and after finishing the design I cut it and went with a hot tool along the edges to prevent it for ravel. Well i will try next time to do it different. good luck with the project!!
I am of the "on top" club. It seems to me to hold the stitches up as organza is a very loose weave and I just think it looks prettier if on top. I tried it both ways and must admit on a few designs, I couldn't tell the difference, so judge by your design.;)
WSS (Water Soluable Stabilizer)
Looks like I am the only one that puts it above & below. Has always worked very well for me.

I don't htink there is a hard rule on this one - as once it is all stitched together - one works about the same as the other - it depends on of you need to see the organza and make sure it isn't bunching up. With a good take down stitch or pins - it wouldn't matter either way, too. I float two pieces of mine on the back, as some of the others have said, too. Claude, good luck - whatever you are making - I can't wait to view in PROJECTS soon. *4U
Thanks for the question, I have not used organza yet, one more thing on my "gotta try" list!
I usually hoop the WSS stabilizer - and float the organza behind. Or, you can hoop it. I normally use 2 pieces of organza too at 45 degree angles so that there is less of a chance for it to ravel.
I bought some organza but haven't used it yet so I appreciate the help.....thanks so much.
I would think on top also--that way it would help keep the organza from shredding with all the stitches in FSL.
Hi Claude,
I always put my Water Soluble Stabiliser on top of the organza. I don't know what others do, but I am sure some more people will come along and answer. Love and blessings Chris
Hmmmm.. JMHO ... I have just put the organza on top. I float a small piece, and by putting it on top I don't need to use as much.
