Hi I use Peggy's stitch eraser. Works well. Google it and there is a lot of companies that sell it. That way you can compare prices and shipping. Suzanne

If you are doing a design and need more stabilizer , just stop and add more to the back of the hoop (pin in place) and continue on. I due that all the time works great.

I always just use a disposable razor. If you are careful it can be done. It probably is a bit more time consuming this way but a lot cheaper.

I used to use a disposable razor, but then I got a peggy's stitch eraser. I think it works a lot better than the razor (the razor does work, just slow) the stitch eraser is expensive.

I am assuming you mean the ones that are rather expencive battery driven and shave away the stitches from the back
so ok this is where i let you into a secret. they are simply tramliner hair clippers. I purchsed one from a company and when i recieved it i noticed the brand name of a very big hair clipper company on it beginning with Wh.
i phoned the company direct and asked them about the embroidery thread cutter they made.???????
they DO NOT MAKE ONE. I gave them the model and number and they told me it was a tramliner for doing fancy patterns in hair or for clipping the hair in ears. sold at a fraction of the price that i had just paid for it. I was also informed that if i used it for the purpose of cutting threads then the guarantee was null and void.
They then asked for the name of the company i had purchased it from as they would follow up and inform the company or intent to sue for selling their product for purposes it was not inteneded for and implying it was purpose built for the job.
I contacted the company i had purchesed the stitch shaver from and informed them of this.
my money was refunded along with all shipping costs.
if you get a pack of disposable shavers they will do the very same job. or you could of course purchase a tramliner hair clipper from E bay at a very cheap price. but they do not work as well as the disposable razors.
I hope this will help you make a decision on this product.

Wow, looks like a handy tool but too expensive for my home projects. Thanks for asking about it!

Its a Peggy's stitch Eraser, you can get it at www.embstore.com They work really well. I just had to erase a name on a sweatshirt. I have several of these erasers. The blades will dull after much use, so you have to replace them. It also helps to use a good stabilizer. Stabilizer with teflon or silicon in it is best.

Have you thought about using a sharp razor. it might depend on what type of material the design is on.
