We thought we had gone to thread heaven.... Here are the pictures to prove it... Those cones were LARGE and 5,000m for $4.00's AMAZING!... They also ship overseas. She said they had just sent a box to someone in Australia. They also carry Robison thread too.

This is just like The Christmas Shop, wherever that is. I believe you might be talking mainly about machine embroidery thread, being on this site, of couse. My question is .... has anyone tried the actual serger thread. I'm really interested in the serger thread that is advertised, not the woolly nylon one, just the ordinary serger thread it's 6000m for $3!!!!!!!!! I pay a whole lot more than that for what I believe is substandard thread.

If anyone has any input at all about this I'd love to read what you have to say.

Thank you, also, for sending this message and for the pictures. I've been green with envy for days and, no, I didn't have too much Christmas pudding!

I looked at their serger thread Alma, and it looked high quality. Better than what you get at Hobby Lobby. For the price, it might be worth trying. Their shipping is actual price so there are no hidden fees.

keeponsewing by keeponsewing 01 Jan 2011

BTW are you referring to the Christmas Shop in Tennessee? It's HUGE and carries EVERYTHING Christmas!

almag by almag 07 Jan 2011

Thank you so much for your answers.
I'm going to order some serger thread now and see how it works on Sandy's serger. Sandy's my daughter in AZ and I'm visiting from South Australia but I'd like to take some new threads home to try them out as well.

I haven't been to Tennessee but the Christmas shop there does sound like my kind of place. There's a special Christmas shop in Melbourne, Australia, and one day I'd like to visit it.

Come by my way in Ga. and I will go too!! Trouble is when you order it via Internet, You don't know which is RA. To be there in person you would recognize that snap up and down bottom lip on the cone and hand pick it.

keeponsewing by keeponsewing 28 Dec 2010

hehehe... This is very true, but the aisle were too small for buggys. Of course I guess if my daughter and I would lose weight, it might hold one buggy. There were soooo many bins with different prices. Like thread that had previously been used they gave you baggies to separate them. It was really overwhelming to say the least. I kid you not, Jess and my ADHD set in and we couldn't concentrate on one thing. hehehe....

katydid by katydid 28 Dec 2010

That is the real bargain. I think they sell it by the pound. That place I go to in Stone Mt. ,Ga sells it that way , but it is usually serger thread.

keeponsewing by keeponsewing 28 Dec 2010

They had serger thread also Kay. they might sell to the GA place. She said they sell all over to both business and private persons.

Sara, you are right about that. I didn't look at the price for the cotton, since I only do small quilting on my little machine and use small quilting thread. I did get their 8X8 square stick on "filmoplast. 100 squares on sale for 26.00.

n0uxq by n0uxq 27 Dec 2010

I have used their thread before and it sews fine. I originally ordered some nebs pre wound bobbins and there was some confusion with the order and they didn't come. So I called them and they made sure they were in the mail, they also added several spools of thread free just for the inconvienence. Very nice people. It is a good thing I don't live close, I don't have room for more thread. I love the pictures, it makes you feel good just to look at all that thread...
