Another Metro threads lover here! The colors are so vibrant! I purchased the single spool holder from Hancocks for $10. A great item to help the thread flow to the machine properly. I now use it all the time for even the small spools, as well as the large. Have had so much less thread breakage with the holder.

My dealer suggested the vertical thread holder and I love it - use it for all of my threads. They feed off so very nicely that way - has a chance to get all the twist out before entering the "guts" of the machine.

Also love Metro - bought a few spools to try and one of the colors was wrong - they sent the right color very quickly at no charge. Then I bought the whole 166 colors and bobbins from them - LOVE it.

I use Metro thread and love it. I don't have the thread holder that some of you describe but I put the spool in a tall glass and it feeds up over the top and that works just fine for me.

My thread holder is homemade. I put a small thin persimmon branch(has a v on top) in a tall skinny can, weighted with solid packed sand.Feeds the thread perfect.Free and matches my shabby look perfect.

Hi and welcome to Cute! I've been using Metro threads for 2 years and have almost all the colors including the varigated. I has trouble too with one of the yellow varigated breaking but other than that my machine seems to like it. I have a thread stand that sits on the table and has one spool in it. It feeds up to a metal thingy and then to my machine. I only need it for the large spools. My sister gave it to me so it was really cheap! LOL Gotta love sisters!
Don't be afraid to ask questions here. Someone always seems to have an answer and often you get several different ideas for something. This is truely an amazing place. No other family like there is here.
Again, welcome!

Got almost all the colors but the varigated ones. I rencently bought one of the storage chest and plan to buy another so I can store all my thread there and keep it organized. I have not found any other storage chest like this one anywhere so I love it. Good luck and I also use a thread stand for large cones that sits on top of my sewing table. The thread feeds off it fine. Have fun stitching Sara

Welcome to Cute. I love Metro thread also and always put it on the vertical spool holder. On the machine it had a tendency to get caught around the stem of the holder. I think it has something to do with the twist. Enjoy

The only problem i have ever had with them is one spool of varigated yellow. Just keeps breaking on me so i dont use it. Otherwise i have no complaints and really love their thread and prices-even better when on sale!

So far I haven't had any problems with my Metro threads. Fantastic prices compared to what I paid at JoAnn's and on ebay for a bunch that have colors so close I won't use some for a long time.

I purchased a box of their thread also. It sews out fine but one spool. The light blue falls off the spool. I contacted the company and they said they would replace it if I send them the order # but I threw away the paper work before I realized there was a problem. If you contact them, they should replace yours. Midge

They should have your order in their database. You should only have to verify the info for them.
