There's no need to get obsessed about the flowers. They are just something fun and to show appreciation of others projects, help, etc. I see you have over two thousand so you must have done something right. To get more flowers you need to give flowers, share projects and ideas, answer questions or just give a thank you. Just be part of the friendly Cutie family. That's what's enjoyable here. Flowers are just something for fun.

You make your garden grow by helping others without expecting a reward for doing so.
In three years it appears you have only ever asked two questions and answered others only eight times.

So, in all fairness, how do you expect your garden to grow without tending to it by participating?

Life is not a spectator sport, take part, join in, participate.

We had an ad campaign on TV in Australia to remind us all how short life can be and it ended with the slogan.....

Life - be in it!

More importantly, I received an email today it went like this:

"""You can't do what ?

Have you ever seen a more beautiful smile than this one?

The next time you're in a bad mood...
maybe you need to remember this...
Your attitude toward life defines not only who you are,
but the quality of life you will have.. """"

So what do a few cyberlink flowers mean now???

In the greater scheme of life, absolutely nothing.

Here at Cute they mean you have participated, you have cared, you have given help and support to others when they have needed it.

Please don't expect them for nothing.

I should have added that the photo's were part of the email, it touched my heart to see this gorgeous little boy. My Dad was crippled (from Polio) he walked only with iron legs (callipers from ankle to groin and crutches) so I truly know how tough this little boy's life has been and... tears now, sorry

Whata a wonderful picture. Here in SA we have a guy whom we call Blade Runner as he had his legs amputated when he was about three but overcame everything to take part in th Paralympics

I have to agree with "airyfairy"-the obsession and competitiveness on how many flowers someone does or doesn't have is so rediculous-quite honestly-I think some people just like to post everything and anything to get these flowers, attention and pats on the back. Don't get me wrong-I am a member and I do love to see all the talent other cuties possess and share with all of us-I it helps to inspire me to want to try different things with projects and designs, but I sure don't get too concerned about how many flowers I do or don't have-I do like to give them out to talent and beautiful work tho'-LOL. It's kinda like people on FB-they think they have add everyone, complete strangers, just to make it look like they have tons of friends- I'm just sayin' =O) Ok-that's my shpeel for the day ~linda~
Smiles, hugs and flowers to all =O) *****

I am really going to put my neck out.... Why are so many Cuties so obsessed about receiving flowers? I do not think it is meant to be a competition. I have not been a member for long but I so enjoy this site because people are caring and sharing. There is huge talent here on this site and to be able to learn something each day is truly a gift. A big thank you to all the fellow Cuties out there.

Well said, Sarah!! Flowers are just visual aids......it's what we feel in our hearts for each other and the kind words & support we know are there when we need them.......Vicki

I love coming here everyday and it is a wonderful helpful community. I have learned just about everything I know from here. I don't get upset at the occasional wrong category postings. However some treat this like facebook lately and get rewarded by receiving flowers. I don't go to facebook anymore. Don't need to know EVERY aspect of other peoples live.

Its not all about the flowers, its about the friends, the ideas you get from other contributors, the help you can give to others, just being there to listen (read) when others need someone. Even just a thanks to a new site or a free alphabet. Give plenty of flowers and they will bounce back, I'm sure. Have a good day. *4U Love Marg
