I have a Janome 300E. The arm isn't working like is should. The designs stitch out the correct width, but they are about a third the length they should be.

Thanks for taking time for me.

I have a 300E but have never had this problem. Is your design in built in the machine? Or have you downloaded to Scan disk as that may be incorrect. I would delete from the machine or card and start at the begining copying to card to the machine again before calling in a repair man...

My machine (it's a Brother) has a page with a design that looks like a balloon outline. You stitch it out and if the the circle doesn't meet then you make adjustments as directed in the manual. Does your manual have anything like that?

I don't know of anything you could possibly do to correct this without taking it to a repair shop. Since the computer in the machine reads the design I'm almost sure the problem would be in there. Just for the heck of it though recheck to make sure the size of your design....reason being I'd sewn a design out and it was much smaller than I thought it should be and sure enough I was in error not the machine. Hope someone comes along that can help you.

I would love to help but know nothing about this machine. look in yellow pages for sewing machine repair or even on the internet for your area. The worst thing you can do is try and fix it yourself. Good luck I hope someone comes along who can help
