I know it can be used for ornaments and collars and lacey trims but there must be a lot more uses for all the little things we make.

I love doing FSL. I'm making different butterflies to stick onto hairpins for my DGD for Christmas. She has glorious dark hair and brightly-coloured butterflies will pretty it up very nicely.... and show off my expertise... :}
I'd like to glue some smaller butterflies onto pencil tops, too - not eraser tops, though. I think they'd look grand standing in a pencil tin on the kitchen counter.

My oldest daughter loves koalas and Yoriko's FSL Koala is perfect for her to use as a keyring tag or just to hang on her handbag.

That's a couple of ideas. It's my thought that if we go to the trouble of making the FSL items they should at least be used, admired and even worn out with love.

Be warned, though, if you're making anything for tweenies or teenies...... if the other girls see them you'll be asked to make more.....

I have FSL butterflies that Shirlene made on a glass door so no one wqalks through it. They will look nice on curtaind, quilts, in a bourquet of flowers (just put the butterfly on a stick). The only limit of ideas is our imaginations.

I bet a week doesn't go by that I have handed out oodles little FSL angels, butterflies, or charms of some sort. The gal's at the local drive through fight over to check me out - when they her my voice come through to place my order, as I always give them a little something - it is so cute. Most of the things I make for others - to emblish, add to, decorate and to just make things so pretty - as everyone else has said - so many places to use ones FSL. My grands have more FSL bookmarks than they will ever read books - but if they need one to save a page - they surely have one - the love hanging things on their mirror and things in their rooms, too.

FSL pieces can be used for many decorative purposes, on heirloom pieces, if ornaments, they make the most lovely ornaments for a xmas tree or other hanging ideas, your ideas can be unlimited in their use. Nothing is 'wrong' or useless. I find them the most satisfying pieces of embroidery and lovely too.

Some good ideas here, hoping for more! So far I have only done ornaments. I am thinking my Christmas tree this year will have some seahorses on it! My SIL commented when I showed her the bells I did for our son's wedding that she decorates her tree in all red, I think that was a hint, lol!

Most of mine is given as gifts, or package embellishments. I have sold a few pieces, but not many, as I do not advertise. But, you are right, it can be embellishments on just about any type of clothing, but does look great on jeans - but also pillows and bed linens.
